I just want to give you one sentence to meditate on this week. Think about this one and let the Lord minister the meaning to you.

"You can never go forward by looking backward."

Legacy Building

Posted Oct 28th 2009, 09:41 by Greater Christianity on Church & Ministry

I run into so many people from my past. They all remind me of something I had said or done and how it has made an impact in their lives. I recently ran into gentlemen that knew me 25 years ago. I didn’t remember him but he sure remembered me. He told me how when he had first got saved and joined the church I was going to, I had given him a small bible. I connected with a young...

On November 8, 2009 we will have an appreciation service for my pastors James and Lee Friedman. Not only has Pastor Friedman been a pastor for over 20 years, but he also works tirelessly in the community and in business. Hold on to God's Unchanging Hand

Posted Oct 20th 2009, 05:28 by Greater Christianity on Church & Ministry

In these changing times, changing society, laws are changing, people are changing. Situations and circumstances are change. People change.  Be encouraged people of God to hold on to God's unchanging hand. God has not changed and His word has certainly not changed. God will answer you. He will show up in your situation and in  your problems. Whatever He promised, He is faithful to do. Keep the faith, hold your head up and Hold on to God's unchanging Hand.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

Posted Oct 12th 2009, 09:09 by Greater Christianity on Church & Ministry

I don’t want to send out a long, drawn out post full of theological revelations to the mysteries of the world. I just want to remind you and ask you a question. What do you want to be when you grow up? Remember that question as a child? Remember what it was you dreamed about becoming. It was what you went to bed dreaming about and the same thing you thought about when you got up in the morning. It...

Knowing who you are

Posted Oct 6th 2009, 04:16 by Greater Christianity on Church & Ministry

I was present at a women’s conference which talked about “knowing who you are in God.” Quite a few things held my interest, but one of the things the speaker said, who happens to be the co-pastor of the church I attend, is that people are not getting what is rightfully due them because they don’t know who they are.

I think the problem is bigger than anybody could ever suspect or imagine. We are living in a mixed up society,...

Getting God to move

Posted Sep 29th 2009, 08:25 by Greater Christianity on Church & Ministry

I have gotten this question a lot during the course of my minister “why isn’t God moving the way he did back then?” It’s a good question and requires an answer.

We find the answer in the Word of God. We first examine what was God “back then.” God performed many miracles during the bible days. He performed these miracles using men such as Abraham, Noses and Moses. He worked through David and through Solomon and most importantly God gave us...

Commitment to What?

Posted Sep 26th 2009, 10:38 by Greater Christianity on Church & Ministry

Happy 30th Wedding Anniversary to my pastors James and Lee Friedman. Even as I wish my pastors a happy anniversary, I am reminded that the kind of commitment and dedication to marriage and relationships is not easily found these days.
Society and laws have made it very easy to quit and start over. Not only are people not committing to marriage, they are not committing to their children, their jobs, their families, their churches or anything else.

We are now living among...

Praise Report

Posted Sep 22nd 2009, 08:50 by Greater Christianity on Church & Ministry

Hi GC Family,

I wanted to share this wonderful praise report with you all. You may remember that I requested prayer for a little three year old boy named Eyan Konal. Eyan is the nephew of one of the police officers I work with and has been dealing with cancer and treatment for quite a while now.

Little Eyan (nicknamed Super Eyan) because of his fantastic attitude has been the focal point of many of us as his prayer partners. We have...

Prayer Request

Posted Sep 22nd 2009, 06:34 by Greater Christianity on Church & Ministry

Hi Greater Christianity Family,
I trust all is well with you all. I am requesting for two members of the Greater Christian Ministry family; Deacon Anthony Jones and Elder Nugene Brown. Please pray for a speedy physical healing for them both.
I know the healing working power of prayer and as the scriptures teach, “Where there are two or three gathered together in My Name, there am I in the midst of them.” (Matthew 18:20) We are much more than two or three.
Thank you...

We should never forget

Posted Sep 15th 2009, 05:44 by Greater Christianity on Church & Ministry

I was talking to someone the other day which marked the worst terror attack on United States soil, the attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.

The young lady expressed concern that we were still talking about it 8 years later. Her comment was “it was a long time ago.” I try not to dwell on such things.
I beg to differ with this individual on this subject. We should never forget. If only one person had died on...

Remembering Edna Kathy Bracely

Posted Sep 11th 2009, 09:48 by Greater Christianity on Church & Ministry

I want to thank each of you who have prayed for my friend and member of Greater Christian Internet Ministries Edna (Kathy) Bracely. Kathy did pass away.

Upon learning of Kathy’s death, I have been struggling all week to find the words which would give her a proper tribute. I am a writer by nature, and finding words have never been a problem for me, but in this instance, I do not believe words are enough. Her daughter said it best...

Weekly Thought - Stop and Smell the Roses

Posted Sep 1st 2009, 12:15 by Greater Christianity on Church & Ministry

"Stop and smell the roses."
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7
"Be good to yourself. Be patient. Be kind. Be forgiving. After all, you're all you've got."                                                                                              -Unknown Author
When was the last time you stopped and smelled the roses of life? Think about it for a moment. When was the last time you took time for yourself? No kids, cell phone, blackberry, email; just you....
