After Jesus was crucified and rose from the dead, He showed Himself to His disciples, continuing to teach them of what was to come. Before His ascension back into heaven, He told them in Luke 24:49 that He was going to send them what His Father had promised them, and to stay in Jerusaleum until...

Let's read Eph. 3:14-16....."I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man."
Paul is praying for the Ephesians...

In Mark 16:15 Jesus commands us to "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation." He is speaking to all of us. Go. This is not just standing behind a pulpit; this is living like we really are a part of God's family. Those who heed this command will experience the following as He tells us in verse 17,...

Right Thinking
Posted Aug 18th 2010, 12:00 by Mercy Ministries on Church & Ministry
The most important thing a Christian can do is to think rightly about God. In Genesis 1:1, "God" in the Hebrew is Elohim, which is a reference to God's power and might. In Malachi 1:6, "Lord" in Hebrew is Adonay which is a reference to the Lordship of God. In Exodus 15:26, He is Jehovah Raphe which means He is our healer. In...

A while back, I was sitting at my computer minding my own business and God began speaking to me. He begin telling me what He was going to do through me, etc., and He made an interesting statement, saying "do not fear even those who say they are in my camp." So I am passing that...
Worship

We were all created to worship. If we are not worshiping God, we are worshiping ourselves, our possessions, other people and even satan himself. We will worship something. Revelation 1:5b-6 tells us, "To Him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by His blood, and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve His God and Father." ...

The Last Week.......
Posted Mar 28th 2010, 08:25 by Mercy Ministries on Church & Ministry
The last week of Jesus' life He entered Jerusalem. He was greeted with shouts of "Hosanna!" and "Blessed is He who comes in the Name of the Lord." People were bowing before Him, spreading their cloaks on the road and spreading branches before Him. They just knew He was their answer to breaking them free from the Roman oppression they were living under. So they worshiped Him.
But who were they worshiping? Were they worshiping the Son...

Happy Thanksgiving!!
Psalm 50:23........"He who sacrifices thank offerings honors Me, and he prepares the way so that I may show him the salvation of God."
Thanksgiving. God tells us that as we are thankful, we honor Him. We, ourselves, through our thankfulness, prepare ourselves to see the salvation of our God in our lives!

Let's look at Matthew 15:21-23. A Canaanite woman, who did not know God, was in the vicinity that Jesus was teaching in and was hearing others worship Him and giving praise and thanksgiving to Him. Let's see how she approached Him in regard to her demon-possessed daughter.
"Leaving that place, Jesus withdrew to the region of Tyre and Sidon. A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to Him, crying out, 'Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me!...
