It's a GOOD FRIDAY to be home!

Posted Apr 2nd 2010, 09:25 by Streetwise Ministry on Evangelism/Missions

Good Morning Dear Family,
Today is Good Friday, and it is a Good Friday to be home. God Bless the USA.
Back home 10 days later and 9 pounds lighter. I guess you could say I have been on the 10 Day Haitian Diet, Exercise and Heat program.
One meal a day, LOTS of water, plenty of vigorous exercise... walking and carrying the cross through Port-au-Prince in sweltering heat always hovering around 100 degrees, give or take. (Riding around with 9 dirty, sweaty...

Hey Everyone,
Multitudes are Still Hopin' In Haiti... more and more people are putting their hope and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Our ministry team has moved to a new location... a house in port-au-prince that was damaged by the earthquake, but is being rebuilt. So, they are making a place for us among the workers and people coming in and out.
WE built a wooden cross this morning and are carrying it out on the streets of the city here and draw...

Just go to our new website  www.streetwiseministry.com and click on the sentence that says "News: Report and Photos from Haiti Outreach." You will be blessed.
Special thanks to the amazing Heidi Jorgensen for making these photos possible and for building, hosting and managing our website....

Postcard From The Edge

Posted Mar 28th 2010, 06:46 by Streetwise Ministry on Evangelism/Missions

Dear Family...
I only have just a few short minutes to write. We lose electricity here in Port-au-Prince, Haiti every few minutes, so consider this a short Postcard From The Edge.
We are having an amazing time of ministry here, despite the horror and devastatiion throughout the city. We ministered at an orphanage to over 300 kids... many very small. They ran out of food and about 100 kids did not get to eat.
Before the earthquake, there were 300,000 orphans here.... since the...

URGENT Appeal

Posted Mar 24th 2010, 03:54 by Streetwise Ministry on Evangelism/Missions

Dear Friends of Streetwise,
We've got a worker in the harvest field who desperately needs our help!
Bobby and Dot need your financial help immediately.
Wouldn't you know.....Bobby gets to Haiti to minister to the hurting and helpless, and receives word that something very unexpected financially came up and demands immediate attention. Dot must raise $3600 by Friday afternoon.   At this point, explanations, reasons, logic are meaningless.  All friends of this ministry need to step-up and stand...

Prince of Peace Corps

Posted Mar 21st 2010, 01:26 by Streetwise Ministry on Evangelism/Missions

Hey Family,
When I was a teenager, early days of college, I wanted to change the world. I looked in to joining The Peace Corps so I could travel the world and help make a difference in peoples' lives, especially in Third World countries.
On the way, I had a radical encounter with Jesus and threw myself into the venture of knowing Jesus and falling in love with Him. I put The Peace Corps on the back burner.
Not long after that, I...

WE MUST ACT QUICKLY!

We just got word that our friends, Rich and Karen Donaghy, along with their son Josiah and Lizzy, were driving across Texas after having left the Mardi Gras Outreach to head home to Northern California. The borrowed van they were in rolled three times and hit a tree.
ALL HAVE WALKED AWAY FROM THE WRECKAGE - praise the Lord for that!
They had to pay $400 to have the van towed (why so much?) and someone is coming to pick them up in Sonora, Texas to drive them...

"Bad, Real Bad"

Posted Feb 10th 2010, 11:20 by Streetwise Ministry on Evangelism/Missions

Hey Friends,
Yesterday I chatted on Facebook with our longtime friend and disaster relief General, Denny Nissley. He just returned from Port-au-Prince, Haiti. I asked him how it was. He said, "Bad, Real Bad."
Then he said, "Too many dead people around -- the stench is overwhelming all day."
Our Haiti Earthquake Rescue Outreach team is working out final details for our upcoming trip to Port-au-Prince. There is a possibility we will be flying to Florida, then fly to the Dominican Republic, then...

Travolta Flies Scientologist Ministers to Haiti

Posted Jan 26th 2010, 08:14 by Streetwise Ministry on Evangelism/Missions

Hey all...
My daughter just sent me a link to a New York Times article today that states that John Travolta is flying his own Boeing 707 jet back and forth to fly "Scientologist Ministers" to Haiti.
Here is the link so you can read it for yourself:  http://thelede.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/01/26/travolta-flies-more-scientologists-to-haiti/
After reading this, I am filled with righteous anger right now!! These people are using a counterfeit version of "laying on of hands" Jesus calls His anointed to do.
Im tired of the devils crowd and...
