Easter

Posted Apr 3rd, 12:00 by River Revelations on Prophetic

    EASTER

Easter is God’s promise
Which His Son came to fulfill,
A promise of eternal life
For all who seek His will—
Season of the budding trees,
The lily in its glory,
The greening hills, the daffodils,
The Resurrection story.
Easter is the joy of spring,
God’s gift and triumph, too,
Reminding us of Jesus’ love
In which we’re born anew.

Crucifixion

Treasures  From The Heart

Crucifixion:

Last week I was doing some spring cleaning and as I was washing windows, ironing curtains, and moving around furniture I kept singing the song “You are so beautiful to me”.  I know it’s a secular song, but I kept hearing it over and over in my spirit.  Exhausted I laid down on the bed to rest and again I started singing that song.

In my spirit I saw the Cross of Jesus, I was kneeling before it;...

Deadly Virus

RIVER REVELATIONS:

Deadly Virus

As the coronavirus continues to affect the whole world right now let us turn to the Lord for comfort and hope.   I wonder what Jesus had to say about the tragic events happening in His time.  What was His take on the things that caused death and destruction?  Did He see them as God’s judgments?  Did He blame it on the works of the devil?

Luke 13:1-5

1 There were present at that season some that told...

Oh, the world outside is frightful

River Revelations:
By Nancy Shupp

Oh, the World Outside is Frightful
The Lord leads my husband and me to visit different churches to encourage and bless them.  Many times He gives me a word for the church.  I usually pray that the Lord will give me the opportunity to speak the word during the service.  If that doesn’t happen, I try to give the pastor the word after service and let them discern whether to share it with their congregation.
Recently we went to...

Spirit of Christmas

RIVER REVELATIONS:
Spirit of Christmas
…for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. —Matthew 1:20
Have you noticed that around this time of year everyone seems to be a little nicer, a little happier and even a little more generous?  We all know that December 25th is not really when Jesus was born, but it is the day the world chooses to celebrate His birth. Perhaps they picked this time to celebrate the Light of the world because the...

STAR

STAR

Star in heaven shining bright, lead us to that Glorious light;
The Light of hope and peace and joy
 that came to earth as a baby boy.

Star in heaven glowing still lead us back to Calvary’s hill;
Remind us of our dark despair
 before You paid our ransom there.

Star in heaven Spirit’s light come and fill us in the night.
Bring that peace that joy that love
 that fills our hearts from up above.

Leading, guiding precious Star, how we follow from afar;
With expectancy we wait...

Seek Me

RIVER REVELATIONS:
Seek Me
Wise men still seek Him……
Reading the story of Jesus’ birth, I began to think about the wise men, how they left their homes and went looking for the Messiah.  They were learned men who had studied all the signs and saw a special star and began their search to seek the child of promise. Traveling for miles, over hill and dale, mostly traveling by night because the star only appeared in the darkness, they finally came to the...

A Thanksgiving Prayer

Lord, I thank You for my family, my home, and my friends.
Thank You that You are my Father, my dwelling place,
 and You provide everything I need. I am blessed
and abounding in Your favor.

Jesus, I thank You for my salvation, my healing and my peace.
thank You Lord that You are my savior, my deliverer and You
 have freed me from all fear. I am free in Christ
therefore, I am free indeed.

Holy Spirit, I thank You for comfort and...

Thank You

THANK YOU

I thank You Lord for all You’ve done;
For giving hope at the setting sun.

For giving peace in the midst of strife;
For making sense out of my life.

Thank You that when I was lost,
Your mercy brought me to The cross;

And at Your feet I humbly kneel;
And thank You for Your power to heal.

Thank You for the blood that cleansed,
And freed me from the chains of sin.

Your Spirit within so sweet and pure,
Keeps me forever safe and secure.

So thank You...

Great Expectations

RIVER REVELATIONS:
Great Expectations

I John 5:14-15 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.
A few years ago, we were at a home meeting.  I was telling someone there that I was holding on to the promises of God for a healing.  I also...

Steadfast

RIVER REVELATIONS:
Steadfast
“Great works are performed not by strength but by perseverance.”—Samuel Johnson
Recently a friend sent me a card encouraging me to persevere in my desire to become healthier.  I’ve been trying to recover the strength lost during my dealings with arthritic pain.  I had to admit that I have become lazy and just let things go because it was easier than trying to do things a different way. I’d just given up ever believing I could get to my...

Tender Cords

RIVER REVELATIONS:
Tender Cords
The Hebrew term for hope literally means “a cord, as an attachment.”  Every on of us is hanging on to something or someone for security…. if it’s someone or something other than God alone, you’re hanging on by a thread—the wrong thread.  Beth Moore
A cord is a long flexible material consisting of serval stands of thread or yarn woven or twisted together.  It can also mean a moral, spiritual, or emotional bond.  Cords keep us connected to many...

RIVER REVELATIONS:

God of Wonders

Psalms 77:14 You are the God who does wonders; you have declared Your strength among the peoples.

This is a new season, the leaves are changing colors, the air is becoming crisp and cool, and the days are getting shorter.  Fall is here, a time to reflect, a time to get back to nature and rejoice in the beauty of our world.

God is the God of wonders; He is constantly making Himself known in our lives.  He wants...

BELIEVE

RIVER REVELATIONS:
Believe
“Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him.”
I’ve been thinking about Job lately, how in a few episodes of life his whole world turned upside down.  He lost his children, all his cattle and wealth, his wife told him to just curse God and die, and his body was attacked by running sores and boils.
There he was sitting on an ash heap, with nothing but heart ache, pain and suffering.  I guess we can say he was attacked,...

Tragedy

RIVER REVELATIONS:
Tragedy
John 16:33 “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace.  In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world”
When you turn on the TV and see grown men about to cry openly you know that something really bad has occurred.  Yesterday twenty people were tragically killed in El Paso Texas, and many more wounded by a gunman.  How can this happen?  What is going on? ...
