Drop Your Stones

RIVER REVELATIONS:
Drop Your Stones
John 8:7 “……He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.”
The story of the woman caught in the act of adultery has always made me wonder.  Why was she alone brought to Jesus?  Where was her companion?  I believe they were trying to test Jesus and trap Him in some kind of untraditional religious interpretation of the law.  I also believe that it was a sign of the times.
Just like...

Set Free

RIVER REVELATIONS:

A Word:  Set Free

This is a time for setting free.  Set free those you have been holding captive in the cages of your mind.  Forgive—let go—free them!

For by freeing them you will be set free-by opening the doors of their captivity, I will open the doors for you to be set free from every bondage—every addiction—every captivity.  You are freed by extending freedom to others.

Your thoughts, opinions and judgments have kept others in captivity, but your forgiveness, your love...

Fire and Passion

RIVER REVELATIONS
Fire and Passion
Leviticus 6:13  A fire shall always be burning on the altar; it shall never go out.

How long has it been since you’ve felt the real presence of God?  I don’t mean you were at church and a song gave you a chill, or someone’s testimony brought a tear to your eye.  When was the last time you felt His presence around you, on you and in you?
We have settled for a tingle instead of a lightening bolt. ...

New Year Of Restoration

Posted Jan 1st 2018, 12:00 by River Revelations on Prophetic

NEW YEAR of Restoration
 2018
I was praying recently about the “new year” and I heard two words.
Restoration:
1)      To give back, make restitution, replace, put back.  See return.
2)      To re-create, reestablish, reverse, recover.  See Renew.
3)      To rebuild in a form supposed to be original, rebuild, alter, rehabilitate. See reconstruct, repair.
4)      To bring back to health, refresh, cure make healthy.  See heal.
God wants to restore all our issues, our health, our finances, and especially our relationships.  This is the year that He...

Silent Night

RIVER REVELATIONS:
Silent Night
“The world in solemn stillness lay to hear the angels sing.”
How quiet did it have to be in the fields for the shepherds to hear the angels sing? Would we hear anything today?  Our lives are full of so much clatter and chatter we would never be able to hear angels singing, or heavenly messengers declaring the Lord has come.
Have we taken time this season to listen, yes, listen for that still small voice speaking into our hearts....

RIVER REVELATIONS:
Available
By Nancy Shupp
We are in a season where we celebrate the birth of Jesus, the Savior of the world.  In the most amazing, extravagant display of love in all of history, God made Himself available to men in a way that He never had before.  He came in flesh to be a partaker of the human experience.  The disciples could talk to him face to face.  He could touch blind eyes and dead children and disease and death had...

RIVER REVELATIONS:
Best Gift
Isaiah 55:6 Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near.

As we approach the season of giving, I was writing a list of things I wanted to buy for my loved ones.  How many times have we shopped till we dropped just looking for that perfect gift?  The gift that is just the right color, just the right size and just the right price for our budget.
The best gifts cannot be placed...

River Revelations

Broken Pieces

Many people live in the broken pieces of their lives. The places that have been broken by situations, circumstances, and relationships that turned out bad.  Hearts are broken, and hopes and dreams become dashed and broken on the rocky shore of life.

Luke 9:13  But he said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they said, We have no more but five loaves and two fishes; ,,,,,.

When Jesus feed the multitudes He saw the hunger of the people...

Forgiveness

RIVER REVELATIONS

Forgiveness

You’ve kissed my heart with Your forgiveness, in spite of all I’ve done!  You’ve healed me inside and out from every disease!
                                                            Psalm 103:3 The Passion Translation

As I was praying and thinking about all the people in Texas, Florida, and other places that have lost everything in the recent hurricanes, and trying to imagine how they must be feeling, what would I do, what could I do for them?  I asked the Lord to help them and send them...

RIVER REVEALTIONS:
Canyons
“all I had to offer Him was brokenness and strife, but He made something beautiful out of my life……..” Bill Gaither
The beauty of the Grand Canyon is such an example of God’s handiwork here on earth.  It is a masterpiece of creation, both beautiful and awful at the same time.  I guess it could be called an enigma.  The beauty is created by erosion from wind, and rivers blowing and flowing over and over the rocks forming the magnificent...

Texas Flood

RIVER REVELATIONS:

Texas Flood

The recent hurricane and flooding in Texas, and seeing all the devastation and loss of life, I began to wonder what Jesus had to say about the tragic events happening in His time.  What was His take on the things that caused death and destruction?  Did He blame it on God’s judgments?  Did He see it as the hand of the devil?

Luke 13:1-5

1 There were present at that season some that told him of the Galileans,...

Eternal Significance

RIVER REVELATIONS:
Eternal Significance
John 15:16 “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain:…..
I don’t think we truly understand exactly what eternal means-- It means lasting or existing forever; without end or beginning.  We think of eternal security, eternal salvation, eternal life, eternal judgment etc.  Things that will last forever, never ending, everlasting and will go on and on.

Think about that when...

Endurance

RIVER REVELATIONS:

Endurance

2 Timothy 22:3  Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

One of the hardest things for me to do is stay in the fight.  What I mean by that is many times I throw in the towel, and just let things go and never finish.  Whether it’s a project, or a work task, or a personal goal, I just don’t seem to be able to go the distance and complete what I’ve started.

I’ve noticed there are...
