We received a prayer request from Sande, a local vibrant Christian gal we have known for years. Sande has been diagnosed with a rare, aggressive form of cancer. Surgery is to take place by this Thurs., if not before. We are believing with Sande that she is in God's hands and that He can do a miracle.

This month we are holding our first radio volunteer meeting. It's the first of what we hope will be a monthly event. We can explore your talents and desires, and hopefully get you started in the radio ministry! We do ask that you're an active believer, involved with one of the local Christian churches, and that you can be recommended by your pastor. And, we are interested in getting YOUTH involved in Winds of Praise, too!

We just finished a Winds of Praise board meeting this morning, 7/12/08. We don't publicly talk much about the station's finances; God has provided for this non-profit ministry from its beginning almost 11 years ago....thru individuals; businesses, and churches. Costs include studio rent; printing costs for the outreach POST newspaper; postage; internet service; etc. In these economic times, it is rare not to be affected by the current economic state of things.
