Were Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh approperate gifts for a baby?

Ever wonder why the wise men gave a baby these gifts? Gold a baby can’t spend. Frankincense a baby can’t light. And myrrh was an herb commonly used at the time for embalming dead bodies. You maybe wondering if they kept the receipt so they could return these gifts. You would usually give babies age appropriate gifts – colorful toys, clothes, etc. However, these were said to be wise men lead supernaturally a great distance by a great new light in the sky. Well they were also led in their gift selection to send us a clear message as you can read about in Book 2 of the Gifts of Freedom book series “Understanding Provision, Communication and Death”. The author Greg Rice tells how understanding, receiving, unwrapping and using these gifts God offers we can evolve into a deeper more intimate relationship with Him which will manifest greater freedoms from the things that bind us in our earthly live.

In the book you will come to know how the Gift of Gold represents God’s promise of provision to Jesus His son and to us His other Children. How do we unwrap this gift and what does it mean when we do?
The Lord does not let the righteous go hungry…(Proverbs 10:3)
We unwrap this gift by having complete faith in this promise of provision and when we do we receive an additional gift…the Peace of God.
And the peace of God, which transcends understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Phil. 4:7)
Greg identifies verse after verse on how this supernatural peace you receive when you have complete faith in God’s promise of provision will allow you to keep your mind on the things God desires and to stay steady on course for unwrapping your earthly destiny.

In the book you will read how the Gift of Incense represents… praise, worship and prayer which are the main communication links God offers us to enjoy with Him.These are gifts to you for your benefit not His – He already knows what you need and what you are thinking.
…Your Father knows what you need before you ask Him. (Matt. 6:8)
The Lord knows the thoughts of man. (Palms 94:11)
Communication is vital to having an intimate relationship because it is an adhesive that bonds people together. It turns an acquaintance into a friend and it makes a date into a marriage. On the flip side relationally how would you feel if your spouse, girlfriend, boyfriend or best friend ignored you? Never called you to see how you’re doing. What if this person seemed disinterested in your concerns? What if this person talked openly with others but wouldn’t give you the time of day? Ultimately we discover that the same adhesive that brings us closer together can tear us apart. This is the raw power of communication – to intimately bond or break relationships with one another as well as with our creator.
God created us to have relationship with Him – an intimate relationship. How could you have an intimate relationship without communication? How many times do you hear yourself or your spouse ask for two way communication? Are you making time for God each day to have this same kind of communication between you and Him – the kind of communication that builds a truly intimate relationship? What does it say if we don’t talk to Him? Do we think He doesn’t care? Or perhaps we question whether He really exists? This book goes through the Bible so you will clearly see how to properly unwrap and use this gift for it’s best results...in establishing that intimate relationship with God.

You will also read how the Gift of Myrrh foretold the sacrificial death Jesus would give for those of us who would receive it. The Gift of Myrrh was one of the first gifts he received and the Bible records the last. Myrrh also represented Jesus’ dying to self as He lived out His life on earth by doing His Father’s will…not His will
(Jesus Said) “For I have come down from Heaven not to do My will but to do the will of Him who sent me.” (John 6:38)
Only by so doing Jesus was able to establish His kingdom on earth. We to must embrace this Gift of Death ourselves in our lives by doing the same as Jesus…dying to ourselves. In so doing we establish God’s Kingdom in our live. We have an enemy here on earth and you will learn how doing God’s will is the first step in defeating that enemy.
Submit yourselves to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (James 4:7)
The Gifts Of Freedom book series outlines in a very clear and sisync way how receiving this Gift is necessary in order to receive your earthly destiny.
