"God Clothes The Grasses And Believers Too"

Matthew 6:25-33

Matthew 6:25-33

Matthew 6:25-33
(AMP)
Peter reminds us that as
Believers we are peculiar people, a people belonging to God,
a chosen people(1 Peter 2:9).
As such, we
Believers are to do some
things that just do not make
sense to those who are not
Believers in Jesus the Christ.
For example:
25"Therefore I tell you,
do not
worry about your life, what you
will eat or drink; or about your
body, what you will wear. Is not
life more important than food,
and the body more important
than clothes? …
27Who of you
by worrying can add a single
hour to his life?
28"And why do you worry about
clothes? See how the lilies of
the field grow. They do not labor
or spin. 29Yet I tell you that
not even Solomon in all his
splendor was dressed like one
of these.
30If that is how God
clothes the grass of the field,
which is here today and tomorrow
is thrown into the fire, will
he not much more clothe you, O
you of little faith?31So do not
worry, saying, 'What shall we
eat?' or 'What shall we drink?'
or 'What shall we wear?' …
33But seek first his kingdom and
his righteousness, and all these
things will be given to you as
well.
Matthew 6:25, 27-31, 33
(NIV) (Emphasis added.)
We do not have to look
very far to find people
who are worrying about
how they are going to
keep food on their table, or
get school clothes for their
children. Worry and fear are
rampant in today’s society.
Thank God that we Believers
are his Chosen People
and God provides for his
people. His Word promises
that as we seek first his
kingdom our needs will be
cared for. So let us keep our
focus on obediently building
God’s kingdom and we will
find that what most people
would call problems and
other things that need to be
worried about, will be taken
care of miraculously by our
Heavenly Father.
God is not a man that he
should lie (Numbers 23:19) and he
keeps his promises. So rejoice
and DON’T worry!
Remember...
We need to always focus on Christ!
The blessings of
our Lord on you and all that is yours by blood, adoption or assignment!
