1 Peter 1:22
Since you have in obedience to the truth purified your souls for a sincere love of the brethren, fervently love one another from the heart,
1 John 3:11
For this is the message which you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another;

Pat and I have people we love who are members of different denominations. We can set and talk about Jesus and the things He has done. We can share His goodness because we know He has brought people into our lives who are members of different Churches and different denominations. They believe in Jesus and are saved by His Blood. Now, my question is, why do we allow denominations to split us from loving one another and enjoying fellowship with others?

We who are saved are all going to be with the Lord one day. There certainly will not be a separated place for people of every denomination. We will all be together. Our attention will be on Jesus and the finished work He has done for us. Also we praise and worship Him because of His great love He has given us. We may say we love the Lord, but if we do not love His people, then we are in self deception. We live in our body. Every part of our body is important, our hands are important and also our eyes are important. We do not sit thinking which part of our body is more important, neither should we sit thinking our denomination is more important than others.

Maybe it is past time the Body of Christ realizes we are part of the Body of Christ. We are to love and care for each member. When someone in the Body falls, it seems the Body rushes to pounce and bring more condemnation. I am certainly glad Jesus loves and forgives. Often we forget about forgiving and are more interested in helping to destroy that to restore. Jesus came to restore man back to God; often the Body of Christ keeps division and resists restoration.

We are part of the Body of Christ. We are to make a difference in this word. We are to reveal the love of God to everyone. Let us remember to love the brethren because we will spend eternity with those who have been saved by the Blood of Jesus. The Scripture tells us, love never fails. Let us not allow the Devil to divide us from others because of tradition, but let us love, encourage, and help the brethren.
