To the beloved of Christ,

Yesterday started our day  mission to Haiti with a few bumps...... we were in a car wreck... everyone is fine but as we drove to Haiti, Victor slowed down to go around a huge pot hole and wham  A guy ran into the rear of the car....
Small damage But the strange thing was on a stretch of road about 2 miles long we were the only two cars on the road!!!  Anyway all is fine!  $600 in damage!

Second, on the way back we had two of the other missionaries bags on top of the van... and all of a sudden, wham!,  they came flying off our car into the middle of the road... we turned around and got them before anyone ran them over....

Other than that a boring day in Haiti!

Things are better and worse...
The better more people living in make shift tent cities, getting food and water.  The streets are cleared and things a little more normal.. except for the crazy guy walking down the street naked.....

The worse:  As we were passing through the check point at the border 50 Canadian military trucks leaving with their men....  A line of container trucks hauling supplies  into the country stopped and required to pay bribes to get into Haiti.  So in other words many are leaving Haiti to Haiti.

I am still networking :  Made a new contact for housing teams... we know one team, in now from Duluth, N, that is living in tents with no running water.. this is not good!….We need more places for teams to stay....

In the DR Victor and myself are trying to get a container shipped full of supplies from boat to Haiti....  Here is the problem... A ministry in the UK sent the container... Very good and nice, thoughtful... It has arrived in the DR... Now  It will cost $585 plus $185 us dollars to get the paperwork and the container available to be inspected.  Then a day later you go back open the container and inspect the supplies.  Then the next day hire a trucking company to pick up container and take it to a location.  $350 ... at that location have the truck that is going to take goods to Haiti in and transfer supplies from container to truck.. Labor cost $300.... Then pay $1000 to the trucking person to deliver supplies to Haiti....(because this is a Christian it only cost $1000, regular fee is $1500)  The money $1000  will be $600 in fuel plus bribe at the border, expense of any delay or break down and a 2-3 day trip.....  So all this expense and time from people in
the DR to deliver goods to a ministry in Haiti.... but yet no one supports the total cost to the ministry in The DR, to pay for and get supplies to Haiti.. For the container to be sent the people in the UK have sent $585 less 7% the bank took for wire transfer….. . They are not looking for a profit, simply covering cost....

So there is good things but yet difficult issues... Our part is, we bought some supplies but mostly covering some of the expense of getting this container to Haiti.  We have received $1500 in last minute offerings to cover this trip… our goal is $2000 -$4000  can you sow $500 to meet our minimum?  It is very cool we do not have the resources to fill a container full of supplies, or pay to ship it, but with the little we have we are able to make sure the container gets to Haiti… If our little was not paid the container is of no use and all those supplies others paid for and gave sit still!  Increase of your gifts  to serve  the Lord!!!!  We have the loaves and fishes that become containers!!!!!

The land we were given by P. Joseph:   We met with Pastor Joseph and said we are unable to build a base with our supporters and he already has another organization committed to build a base for their ministry on his land !…PTL!!!! We do not know, if once built, if our teams will be allowed to use it...time will tell.

In the DR we have been asked by a large church organization to host a Fire Conference in July in a stadium here... So we are doing two things this next week...one working on getting container released and second planning July event...

at present I need a team of people willing to come in July and help us put on this event... it is too large for me and one or two to pull off....

On another Haiti note... Containers shipped to mission organization in HAITI THROUGH P.A.P. PORT.. are not getting to mission groups.  One pastors has a container that has been on the ground for 3 weeks yet he cannot pick it up and the last report maybe in 6 weeks???????

Haiti has been left to Haiti  and the government of Haiti is not helping... last news report do not send any more food items we are good...From the Haitian government...WHAT... If you could see the people and how they are living.. you would send or they should receive any help given at this point.

Security is better in the country.... and people are going about life, which was bad before , so it is not much worse!

in love p frank
