I do a weekly newsletter for missions that is handed out at my church every Sunday and this week I featured a few places that are in need of donations.
I am passing this info on to you so that you might consider them when you are thinking of donating goods.
Potters House: Food - Label for the Potters House and leave near the Welcome Center desk at Virginia Beach United Methodist Church on 19th and Pacific.
Bike Ministry: Bikes for those in need of transportation – Contact Dave Moore 962-1591
KPC Clothing Ministry:Gently Used Clothing and Household Goods – Drop off donations at 3900 Bonney Rd. Suite 114 (Grande Junction Ctr.) Virginia Beach, VA 23452 / 432-4523Drop off only during Ministry hours which are Tuesday-Saturday 9:30-11:30 am
People are invited to shop once a week for their family. There is no charge for anything that people receive from this ministry. The only requirement is to show a Picture ID.
Habitat For Humanity:Gently Used Clothing and Household Goods – They will appreciate any donations that you may have. They will provide a tax receipt for each donor. ALL proceeds go towards Habitat's mission to eliminate substandard housing in the South Hampton Roads community. In Virginia Beach they are at 955 Providence Square Shopping Center 474-0069 (Mon.-Sat. 9am-6pm, Sun. 12-5pm)
JCOC Thrift Shop:Gently Used Clothing and Household Goods – All proceeds go to the Judeo-Christian Outreach center which serves the homeless and those in need in our community. Take your items to the thrift shop at 1805 Virginia Beach Blvd. Virginia Beach, VA 23454 / 425-1220
