Jesus has been speaking so soberly and showing me His Nature this week.  Jesus is the Revelation of God's Nature, pure and simple.  At no time in the past six months did Jesus ever seem concerned about the recent Presidential election.

Each time I inquire about the election outcome and our role in it, Jesus gives me this vision:

Jesus stands in front of the Temple, on the Temple Mount tossing a coin up and down in the air.  He is entirely at peace.  He looks at me as I ask the question, then He glances over His shoulder and looks at the Temple. Then, just for that moment, He has a sad, far-off look in His eyes.  He squints at me and I see tears.

I ask Him, Lord, why the tears?

He says, "This is nothing to do with the election, nothing at all.  I know the beginning from the end."

He says,  "The Presidential election in the US was an exercise of the sovereign wills of the voters.  Man has free will in the earth realm."

Then I see Him tossing the coin once again.

I get it, Lord, I say;  "Give to Cesar what is Cesar's."  Matthew 22:21

The Lord shone His Light in my Spirit:  We are called to a First-things focus on the things of God (Psalm 27:4) and Heavenly Law supersedes Earthly Law, but does not cancel it out."

And the Lord opened His Robe and I saw into His Heart:  Our Righteous Initiative--the One from Heaven and the Heart of the Father, was and is to Affect the HEARTS of MEN first and foremost.

But, we believed that our primary initiative was to affect the outcome of an election.

No election will ever affect the hearts of men.  ONLY LOVE WILL.  His Name is JESUS.  God is LOVE.

However, LOVE requires RELATIONSHIP.  It requires work, it requires touching the untouchable, embracing the other political party as the beloved creations of God.

"Jesus said unto him, Thou shall love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

This is the first and greatest commandment.

And the second is like unto it, Thou shall love thy neighbor as thyself."
Matthew 22:37-39

Perhaps a political spirit has made God's people believe that we can lay that commandment aside during political seasons of election.  That is a hideous lie, isn't it?

Back to the Vision:

The Lord kept glancing backward over His shoulder at the Temple.  This is when I saw tears in His eyes.

And, I realized then that He is so grieved that so many of His sons and daughters had left their Prayer Mantles on the Altar, run out of the Temple---the House of Prayer for All People---and had run into the mob to join the political fracas.

I could see that many people were deceived by the political spirit, a close friend of the religious spirit.  They moved their focus away from JESUS (see Psalm 27:4) The ONE and the ONE thing....  They focused on an election and the election results instead.

The Lord wants everyone back!  He wants everyone back in the Temple, beholding the Beautiful Jesus, and Inquiring of Him---not polls and pollsters.

The reason so many are dismayed is that they are looking for Jesus and a godly outcome while they are standing OUTSIDE of THE TEMPLE of GOD.

God's people left the Temple; but they are still expecting Temple Atmosphere and Temple Outcomes.

Lovingly put, if it is raining on your head, you have probably left the cover of the porch!

Jesus Christ is our Tabernacle.  Jesus Christ is our REALITY.  (Acts 17:28) Still, in the earth we have free will to leave the higher and holy spiritual reality and to go and slog around in the mud and muck of a lesser thing.  That is what some did when they entered the political fray as mud-slingers rather than staying IN THE TENT and TEMPLE and PRAYING FOR THE LOVE OF GOD TO BE SHED ABROAD IN THE HEARTS OF MEN, and then GOING INTO THE WORLD AND DEMONSTRATING THAT LOVE, rather than spouting political rant.

It's OK.  We did not blow the outcome of the election;  we blew the First Commandment.  We lost focus.  Probably many were following ministries that have some mantle or anointing to intercede and minister in the political realm.  But, these ministries, in their zeal may have lost their FOCUS too.  Sometimes we have Zeal, but not according to knowledge.  "For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge."  Romans 10:2

Lord, We REPENT!

We turn around and run Home, back into the Temple, into Your Loving Arms.  We renounce the political spirit in the Name of Jesus and we come out of agreement with it.  Participating with a political spirit has run us aground and led many into the dark waters of dismay.

"Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord"  Acts 3:19

LORD, Pour Out Wisdom

May we receive the Spirit of Wisdom, the Spirit of Knowledge, and The Spirit of the Revelation of the Lord, and the Spirit of the Fear of the Lord!

"That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him"  Ephesians 1:17

What great Truth there is in that.  However, what a great mis-application of Truth we were willing to believe in:  red or blue, that a man or political party can bring lasting, life-altering change!

Only the Love of God truly CHANGES THE SPIRITS, HEARTS, and SOULS of men.

"Or despise thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leads thee to repentance?" Romans 2:4

When we wake up and realize:  We are the Sons and Daughters of God.   (James 1:17)   We are the Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.  (1 Cor 1:30)  Our mandate is to LOVE the WORLD in the same manner He loves us...

We will Enthrone Jesus and He will have Dominion in the Hearts and Lives of People.  He will draw all men unto Himself.

He is IRRESISTIBLE after all.

"Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you."  Matthew 6:33

"ONE THING I ask, that will I seek after, That I may dwell in the House of the Lord all the days of my life.  To behold the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in His Temple."  Psalm 27:4

Let's ALL Run for the Porch!

Our Father's Arms are Wide Open
