The important thing about understanding God properly is...

1) understanding His purpose properly.

2) understanding who we are properly.

3) understanding our place in Him and His plan.

This is where the enemy of souls, through an antichrist spirit, brought into the carnally religious desires of unregenerate man the concept of God as three eternal persons. It throws the deceived into a idolatrous worship of a false god, while still looking like Christianity.

It distorts man's concept of God's plan for man and who we are in Him. It makes Jesus, as an eternal Son...a deified second Person (one of three) along side "God the Father" and the Holy Spirit, and then us as just afterthoughts at best....just lowly sinners fortunate to be salvaged from hell.

This presented the opportunity for the Babylonian Whore to set up a priesthood to mediate between this three Person untouchable Deity called the Godhead...and us. Nicolaitanism, a conquering of the laity, was brought in to monopolize and make merchandise of God's heritage.

But when we see the Truth and Purpose of God as the ONE true Person of God represented in the Name of Jesus Christ, then we see Him manifesting His Life in a many-membered spoken Word body of sons and daughters indwelt by Himself.

This is the Christ. God dwelling in His Word-born offspring.

Procreations of His Word becoming flesh and glorified. The glorification of the Son of Man is the multiplying and quickening of the many kernels of the first Corn of Wheat.

20 And there were certain Greeks among them that came up to worship at the feast: 21 The same came therefore to Philip, which was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus. 22 Philip cometh and telleth Andrew: and again Andrew and Philip tell Jesus.

23 And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified.

24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.

John 12:20-24 (KJV
The point which I desire to make paramount is the importance of truly knowing God, His nature and His eternal purpose which He purposed in Christ Jesus.

21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. 22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. 23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

John 4:21-24 (KJV)

Jesus Himself is stressing the absolute importance of being a TRUE worshipper, and that these TRUE worshippers will understand that God is a Spirit and that He MUST be worshipped in spirit and in Truth.

No other form of worship is accepted of God. It must be in knowing who God is...

...and this worship must be an experience and service in the Light of Truth. a life of obedience led of the Spirit.

According to this declaration of Jesus Christ Himself, we must understand that to worship a form of God which is erroneous is what Jesus came to do away with, to manifestly judge as unacceptable, and to rectify in His example of TRUE worship.

Jesus perfectly exampled before us worshipping and serving the Father...God, in spirit and in Truth. His whole life was a perfect witness of Truth and of being true to God in His obedience of service.

Jesus is the perfect example and pattern of worshipping and serving the ONE true Person of God...His Father.

22 Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious. 23 For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you. 24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;

25 Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; 26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;

27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: 28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. 29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.

30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: 31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

Acts 17:22-31 (KJV)

You see, Jesus was NOT a "temple made with hands", He was the Word of the Father, the Life of God...manifested in the flesh. He was God's birthed Word...a spiritual Temple in which God was fully pleased to dwell.

Of which we are now an integral part; the "fullness of Him that filleth all in all". Amen.
