Many Are Called But Few Are Chosen
Matt 4.19 AMP
He said to them “Come after me (as disciples) letting me be your guide, follow me –
and I will make you fishers of men.
We may need a new tax system
We may need a new industrial relations system
But it won’t fix the problems of this country
We don’t need a new SYSTEM of anything
We need a Renewed RELATIONSHIP with God
We need to pray or God may bypass our nation or this generation
We need a renewed relationship
EM Bounds said
“our praying needs to be pressed and pursued with an energy that never tires, a persistency that will not be denied and a courage which never fails.”
We need God’s heart for lost humanity – then we will give up and sacrifice, Time, Energy and Money
The western world is too caught up in our materialism – makes us too well off.
Instead of being immensely thankful to God we have become
to the lost of both our nations and others
Abraham was blessed to be a blessing Gen 12.2
You are too
God’s plan was always the salvation of ALL men.
Genesis 28:14 …. All peoples on earth will be blessed through you and your offspring.
Psalm 22.27 ….. all the families of the nations will bow down before him,
Psalm 72.11 ….. all nations will serve him.
Isa 2.2 In the last days the mountain of the Lord’s temple will be established as chief among the mountains; it will be raised above the hills, and all nations will stream to it.
Isa 42.1 ….. he will bring justice to the nations.
Jer 16.19 ….. to you the nations will come from the ends of the earth
Dan7.14 ….. all peoples, nations and men of every language worshiped him.
Hos2.23 ….. I will show my love to the one I called 'Not my loved one. I will say to those called 'Not my people, 'You are my people'; and they will say, 'You are my God.' "
God sent prophets to tell them
The Jews lost the plot
They were supposed to tell the Gentiles the plan of salvation
Finally He sent Jesus
Jesus reinforced what the prophets had said.
Matt28.18 Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations,
Luk24.47….. repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
God was always concerned for the whole world
Jesus was concerned for the whole world
Stop being so selfishly concerned just with your own little vineyard
Jesus told us who to talk to
Acts 1.8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
Your local church, wherever it is, is chosen by God to have an influence beyond your immediate area. God has given you a mandate to be an agent for change in all the above regions. Let me encourage you to consider what are you doing that will affect the regions beyond where you live.
Don’t say I’m not a missionary. You are
Called, predestined, justified and glorified to serve him. Rom 8.30
Sent Matt 28.19
Empowered Acts 1.8 Acts 2.4
Jesus said, “Many are called but few are chosen.” Matt 20.16
Few prove themselves worthy of their choosing
The call is the common call of the gospel to all men.
The choosing – those that prove themselves worthy of that choosing by calling on Him
Rom 10.13 All who call on the name of the Lord will be saved.
Chosen: Gk Eklektos, elect, to select, chosen out
We have a responsibility to this nation - To all nations
To this generation – and to leave a legacy for our children
"GO YE" requires no "magical formula."
GO YE requires no "booming voice from Heaven."
GO YE is not "an invitation."
GO YE is not "an option."
GO YE is a "Command Given, To Be Obeyed."
May we each, in our unique context of relationships "GO" Into The World of Others, to share in Word & Deed, the Good News, the Proclamation of Jesus Christ.
"GO YE", our Master simply said.
Thank for sending us those nice inspiring message we rejoice with you and hope to have you in Nigeria. I am in Kenya for the next one week. Keep the hope alive.

Leadership Training in Pakistan
We have conducted a 2 day Leadership Training Seminar.
Host Pastor Ashraf welcomed Pastor Justin Kuek and Pastor David Niven from New Zealand.
50-60 Church key Leaders were gathered in the seminar.
Seminar was particularly for them who want to work on “The Church and the Great Commission”. It was an informative seminar for them; they learned new ideas how to work more and more for the body of Christ.
Everyone has set their joint goals to fulfill the Great Commission.
Goals are as follows:
vEvery day each participant will reach at least 1-2 persons for the discipleship of Jesus Christ and will prepare him or her for the Kingdom of God.
vLay men / Job holding persons committed them for the above Goal during their duty and will share the Gospel with their staff members.
vSome leaders committed to arrange these types of seminars in different areas to spread the Great Commission.
With love and Passions.

500 Saved In Flood Rescue work
We have been busy at Budalangi helping people to shift from the place that is affected by flood. Budalangi is in Busia District, Western Kenya.
We sent a team to Budalangi mid October 2008 and the team is still there to this time assisting the Red Cross to build tents and supply food to the victims of floods. Most of the houses had been swept away and crops destroyed. The team went with a sack of maize that we had contributed.
The team is able to preach to the souls and report from Budalangi says that 500 people have confessed Christ as their personal Saviour including 80 muslims. The number might increase during this month because the operation is still going on.

What in The World is Happening
Audio Bibles Making Big Impact on Lives of the Illiterate Worldwide
"Because of the illiteracy and aural traditions of the Matswa people, men and women will sit and hear God's Word, but they'll never read it."
Lausanne World Pulse has published an article detailing the impact of audio Bibles distributed to the illiterate throughout the world. One such ministry, Talking Bibles International, produces and preserves single-voice audio recordings of translated Scriptures in hundreds of languages. (Photo: Lausanne World Pulse)
The Talking Bible is the only way the people of Pembra are hearing God's Word, says one woman named Laura Alberto Massingi from Mozambique, who notes that "because of the illiteracy and aural traditions of the Matswa people, men and women will sit and hear God's Word, but they'll never read it."
One native evangelist, named Ishmael, says it is not uncommon to have fifty or more people gather around "the little black box" as it plays Scripture. "I just take the machine to a new area," says Ishmael, "let the people listen, and then preach. That is how a church is started."
Over 100,000 Students in Cape Town give their lives to Christ
THE GREATER CAPE TOWN SCHOOL CAMPAIGNS
Total to date: 117 008 students and teachers reached in 145 School Campaigns
I AM REJOICING OVER 100 000 decisions for Jesus to date in Cape Town. History is been written here in Cape Town. I am so proud and happy with my team and grateful to everyone that has financially supported this epic campaign.
I am so saddened by the unjust abuses that the youth in Cape Town are going through. It's not fair that these kids are abused and molested at such an early age. We conducted a few school campaigns in Macassar this week that were glorious. About 90 to 95% of the kids at each school responded whole heartedly in receiving Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Again they shared with me the terrible things they endure at the hands of immoral men.
Many of the boys that we counseled had been physically abused and we encouraged them. Many boys shared with us that they were the bullies, and that because of Jesus coming into their lives, they would stop and apologize to their victims.
We also reached out to townships this week. It was sad to see these beautiful children living in tin shacks, in very primitive conditions. We gave them Jesus though, the greatest gift we could.
Precious boys and girls and teachers are receiving Jesus in record numbers. We will continue here in Cape Town until every school has been reached with the gospel of our Lord and Savior.
The Church is getting stronger in this formerly communist country.
(Tirana, Albania)—God is no longer "dead" in Albania, and with this news come heartening information that lots of its people are now making decisions there on a daily basis for a new life in Christ. So says a Mission Insider Report from Christian Aid Mission. The report recounted that shortly after World War II, Albania was officially declared to be the world's first atheistic state and that the Marxist dictator, Enver Hoxha, had claimed to murder God, which he called his greatest achievement.
The report says that by mid-1967, all religious institutions had relinquished their churches, mosques, cloisters, and shrines to the government, as Article 37 of the Albanian Constitution, 1967, stated, "The State recognizes no religion, and supports and carries out atheistic propaganda in order to implant a scientific materialistic world outlook in people."
But after the death of Hoxha in 1985, the reverse became the case and by1992 new churches were planted and new ministries were started. "In view of the fact that the Albanian church is now 18 years old and acknowledging that we have some 'milk' books, but no 'meat' ones, our aim is to translate great books from our long heritage of Christian literature. This will give a stronger foundation to mature Christians—especially in church leadership," says an Albanian Translation Ministries (ATM) leader.
(Oaxaca, Mexico)—World evangelist Luis Palau continues to bring his message of eternal hope and encouragement to millions. His most recent campaign with son and fellow evangelist Andrew Palau took him to the southern state of Oaxaca, Mexico, November 12-15. In a partnership with nearly 350 local churches, they shared the Good News in person with more than 168,000 individuals throughout the region and recorded an amazing 11,193 decisions to follow Jesus Christ.
According to Daniel Gurrion, Oaxaca state representative, "This proved to be the largest evangelistic campaign the region has ever seen." (Photo: Palau.org)
While Palau focused much of his attention on the capital city of Oaxaca, son Andrew spent several days earlier in the week in the coastal city of Huatulco. This was the first Andrew Palau festival held in the country. His father has served Mexico through evangelistic campaigns and gatherings over the last 40 years.
Palau's next major international outreach will be in Guatemala City in March, 2009.
We are so thankful that you remember our Iris tribe and us. Holding a chubby baby God placed in our care on Sunday with perspiration dripping down my face, dancing up a praise storm with leaping children all around, I was reminded of why we are here.
Please keep praying for us and this ministry. We are so privileged to be alive to see what we are seeing now. We love what God has entrusted for this ministry to do. Thousands are coming to Jesus every month. Orphan children are being brought into our villages weekly. They are finding out they are adopted by Father God as they meet His Son Jesus. Wells are being dug bringing fresh water, and children and pastors are graduating from our many schools. Thank you again for being such a very important part in all this.

Called you? No, I didn't call You.I'm praying, “Our Father Who art in Heaven.”
There ~ you did it again!
Called ME! You said, "Our Father Who art in Heaven" . . . Well, here I am. What's on your mind?
But I didn't mean anything by it. I was, You know, just saying my prayers for the day. I always say the Lord's Prayer. It makes me feel good, kind of like fulfilling a duty.
Well, all right. Go on.
Okay, “Hallowed be Thy name” . . .
Hold it, right there! What do you mean by that?
By "Hallowed be Thy name"?
It means, it means . . good grief, I don't know what it means. How in the world should I know? It's just a part of the prayer. By the way, what does it mean?
It means honoured, holy, wonderful.
Hey, that makes sense. I never thought about what 'hallowed' meant before. Thanks. “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.”
Do you really mean that?
Sure, why not?
What are you doing about it?
Doing? Why, nothing, I guess. I just think it would be kind of neat if You got control of everything down here, like You have up there. We're kinda in a mess down here, You know.
Yes, I know; but, have I got control of you?
Well, I go to church.
That isn't what I asked you. What about your bad temper? You've really got a problem there, you know. And then there's the way you spend your money ~ all on yourself! And what about the kind of books you read, and the programmes you watch on TV?
Now hold on just a minute! Stop picking on me! I'm just as good as some of the rest of those people at church!
Excuse ME. I thought you were praying for My will to be done. If that is to happen, it will have to start with the ones who are praying for it. Like you, for example.
Oh, all right. I guess I do have some hang-ups. Now that You mention it, I could probably name some others.
So could I.
I haven't thought about it very much until now, but I really would like to cut out some of those things. I would like to, You know, be really free.
Good. Now we're getting somewhere. We'll work together ~ you and ME. I'm proud of You.
Look, Lord, if You don't mind, I need to finish up here. This is taking a lot longer than it usually does. “Give us this day, our daily bread.”
You need to cut out the bread. You're overweight as it is.
Hey, wait a minute! What is this? Here I was doing my religious duty, and all of a sudden You break in and remind me of all my hang-ups.
Praying is a dangerous thing. You just might get what you ask for. Remember, you called ME ~ and here I am. It's too late to stop now. Keep praying . . . pause . . . Well, go on.
I'm scared to.
Scared? Of what?
I know what You will say.
“Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us.”
What about Ann?
See? I knew it! I knew you would bring her up! Why, Lord, she's told lies about me, spread stories. She never paid back the money she owes me. I've sworn to get even with her!
But . . . your prayer . . . What about your prayer?
I didn't . . . mean it.
Well, at least you're honest. But, it's quite a load carrying around all that bitterness and resentment, isn't it?
Yes, but I'll feel better as soon as I get even with her. Boy, have I got some plans for her. She'll wish she had never been born.
No, you won't feel any better. You'll feel worse. Revenge isn't sweet. You know how unhappy you are . . . Well, I can change that.
You can? How?
Forgive Ann. Then, I'll forgive you; And the hate and the sin, will be Ann's problem, not yours. You will have settled the problem as far as you are concerned.
Oh, You know, You're right. You always are. And more than I want revenge, I want to be right with You . . . (sigh). All right . . . all right . . . I forgive her. There now!
Wonderful!How do you feel?
Hmmmm. Well, not bad. Not bad at all! In fact, I feel pretty great! You know, I don't think I'll go to bed uptight tonight. I haven't been getting much rest, You know.
Yeah, I know. But, you're not through with your prayer yet, are you? Go on.
Oh, all right. “And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.”
Good! Good! I'll do that. Just don't put yourself in a place where you can be tempted.
What do you mean by that?
You know what I mean.
Yeah. I know.
Okay. Go ahead. Finish your prayer.
“For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.”
Do you know what would bring Me glory ~ What would really make Me happy?
No, but I'd like to know. I want to please You now. I've really made a mess of things. I want to truly follow You. I can see now how great that would be. So, tell me . . . How do I make You happy?
YOU just did.~ Anonymous.
How important it is for us Christians to stop and ask ourselves, “Why am I doing this? Why do I believe this way? Is this really what Jesus has called me to be like?” It is so very easy to simply do things out of habit and rituals, which may be way outside of the will of God for our lives. And, in meditating upon this, how willing are we to make the necessary changes to get us right into the centre of God’s will? Like the person above praying “The Lord’s Prayer,” they did it out of habit without stopping to consider they were actually saying and doing it, without dealing with real heart issues in their own life. Let us not fall into this trap.
As a fund raiser you are in the information business. What I mean by that is you are constantly trying to get more information on your prospects and donors. It is an endless process. I believe there are 3 bits of vital information you must get if you are going to be effective in raising funds

Tell us. - What you did, - how you did it and - what was the outcome,
so that someone else can be encouraged, maybe to do something similar.
As you know the gospel is free but it cost money to deliver it. If you value or appreciate the work BFTF is doing why not become a partner with us with a regular contribution. Even in most developing nations ministries can afford $1US per month to appreciate our work. We will still keep sending you this report and doing the work of evangelism whether you support us or not but it sure is nice to be appreciated with something that helps us keep this ministry going to over 100 countries. If you would consider making a donation large or small for general funds or specific purpose we will appreciate you immensely.
He who gives a glass of water to prophet will receive a prophets reward.
