ĚRemain in Me, and I in you. Just as a branch is unable to produce fruit by itself unless it remains on the vine, so neither can you unless you remain in Me.Ě
Wow! We have completed the first 20 days of our 40 days of worship and seeking the Lord together! I trust God has drawn you closer to Himself as you have sought to become more intentional in seeking His heart, becoming more intimate with Him, and narrowing your focus to listen to His voice (James 4:8).
In the first 19 days of our journey, over 6,000 people visited the facebook page, 40 Days of Worship. What an encouraging time itĚs been reading through each visitorĚs post as they give God the glory in response to GodĚs gracious work in their lives. Many have left us pondering the things God has taught them, stimulating us to love and good deeds, as we worship and seek Him together! ItĚs been an exciting journey so far, and we are only half way though!
Today we begin the next 10 day leg of our journey, the Pathway of Dependence. Jesus wants us to come to a place where we are more completely surrendered, or actually abandoned to Him. Perhaps you have reached a crossroad in your life, knowing you need to continue in some direction, but are quite perplexed as to what to do, or which way to turn and realize your utter need for GodĚs guidance. Have you reached the point in your life where you just do not want to do anything or go anywhere unless Jesus goes with you? This is exactly where you find rest (Exodus 33:14)! LetĚs look to GodĚs Word for this rest, as He leads us to a place of total dependence on Him.
If you havenĚt joined us yet, itĚs not too late to join this journey as we worship and seek God together! Invite your friends to join you on this journey too! If you want to leave a post on the 40 Days of Worship facebook page or be notified when a new post is submitted, the please donĚt forget to click the LIKE button, found in the left margin of the page. DonĚt forget, if you donĚt have access to Facebook, you can still join us for the journey @ http://www.ccci.org/training-and-growth/devotional-life/40-days/index.htm.
May God bless you richly as you seek His face! Keep drawing close to God as He has promised to draw us closer to Him, as we approach Him with clean hands and pure hearts (James 4:8).God is moving in this world, so lets see how much more we can abide in Him, so we can join Him in His Work and produce remaining fruit! Amen!
PS. Do you have a prodigal in your life, or know of someone who does? There is a online community who are seeking prayer for their loved one. It is a place where you can talk, get advice, share prayers, find resources and let them know how God is working in your situation. This community is now preparing for the June 2 Worldwide Day of Prayer for Prodigals and would like to invite you to come to Prayer for Prodigals and pray for them. If you, or someone you know, want to join this community, please write to Prayer for Prodigals for an invitation into this community and to participate in the June 2 Day of Prayer for Prodigals.
