¯Therefore since we also have such a large cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us lay aside every weight and the sin that so easily ensnares us, and run with endurance the race that lies before us, keeping our eyes on Jesus, the source and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that lay before Him endured a cross and despised the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of God's throne.¯ Hebrews 12:1-2

Dear %%firstname%%,

Thank you for joining with Campus Crusade for Christ US ministries during our 40 Days of Worship (3/17-4/25/2011).  During this time, we sought the Heart of Jesus through a focused time of prayer and worship. The posts on the Facebook wall of  40 Days of Worship were viewed and then re-posted on members¯ news feeds over 10,500 times! Thanks for being a part of this worship movement!

We explored four themes  on this journey.    The first 10 days, we trekked the Pathway of Intimacy, intentionally drawing closer to Jesus.  The next 10 Days we climbed the Pathway of  Increased Attentiveness as we listened to His Voice.  During the third 10 day segment of our journey, we  forged the Pathway of Dependence as we clung to Him, and finally, for the past 10 days we danced down the Pathway of Release as we gave Him our burdens and the things that held us from fully following Him. Have you treasured the ways Jesus revealed Himself to you during these 40 Days?  Why not take a moment to journal or share on 40 Days of Worship facebook page, all He showed you as you surrendered your all to Him?

Although this 40 Days of Worship campaign has drawn to a close, may we never forget how sweet this fellowship with Jesus has been!  The good news is this sweet fellowship doesn¯t have to end!   May we continue to fall more in love with Jesus, ready to listen to His still small voice, and may we refuse to go or do anything without Jesus going before us! May we always respond to His directions with complete obedience!

Did know know, according to Blase Pascal, God blessed man with the ¯dignity of causality¯?    This means that God has given man the opportunity and power to make a difference in the world through praying and worshiping Him.  It is sobering to consider  how our prayers made a difference in this world during these past 40 days.  In fact, we may not know their full impact on this side of heaven, but we can be assured that as we sought to know Him more intimately,  and as we listened to Him more attentively, and as we surrendered our will, our burdens and every sin that ties us down, He orchestrated His plans, promises, provisions and power toward us who believe!

Of course, the flip side of the coin is that it is to our peril to fail to respond to our circumstance through prayer and worshipping God!  Can you imagine what it would be like NOT to pray and worship God in every situation?

It is only as we  intentionally  focus on Jesus that we make an eternal difference in the world we live. When we choose to respond  to every circumstance, through prayer and worship,  our sight is no longer limited by what we only see with our physical eyes.  As  we abide in Him, yielding control of our lives to Him,  He uses us, and we see that reality is made up of so much more than what we see with our physical eyes.  We realize that reality also consist of God¯s plans, promises, provisions and power toward us who believe.  For faith is the reality of what is hoped for, the proof of what is not seen (Hebrews 11:1). When we focus on Jesus, we see the world from a spiritual perspective and as we abide in Him, we bear fruit that remains. Prayer and Worship is intended to be our lifestyle, and through it we are afforded the opportunity to see Him work in our hearts and in the world! What a great adventure walking with Jesus is!

Can you see the great crowd of witnesses that surrounds us?  Can you hear those that travelled these paths before us, who have previously borne testimony to the Truth, cheering us on, encouraging us to throw aside  every unnecessary weight and sin that so cleverly clings to and entangle us, as we run, with patient endurance, the course that is set before us?  During your remaining days on this earth, especially as His return is drawing near, remember to keep your eyes on Jesus.  May you never allow anything else to distract you from seeking Him!  He is the Leader and Source of our faith and is also it¯s Finisher, bringing our faith to maturity and perfection. He is the One we look to as our example.  What a friend we have in Him!  What a privilege to bring everything to Him in prayer!   He is our everything!  Worship Him!

Continue on the journey and make an eternal difference in this world!!  Thanks again for joining us these past 40 Days of Worship!  I¯m sure there will be more opportunities to join together in prayer and worship and I¯m looking forward to those sweet times of fellowship with you!  You¯ve been a great encouragement to me!  Let¯s run the race, with endurance!   Worship Him!!

Maranatha!  Jesus is coming soon and is bringing His reward with Him.
Your prayers do make THE difference!  (Isa. 37:21)

May God bless you richly as you seek Him!
