This morning I woke up by 2.30 am and tried to learn the word GRACE. Except the epistle of Hebrews Paul used the word GRACE at the beginning and at the end of all his epistles. Undoubtedly the word grace gives us amazing hope and comfort. Let us learn the ways the word “grace” (Charis in Greek) is used in the New Testament.
1. Grace is Happiness and amusement.
In Luke 4:22 we read , “And all spoke well of him and marvelled at the gracious words that were coming from his mouth.” Eph. 4:29 says, “Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.” Col.4:6 says, “Let your speech always begracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.”
2. Grace is kindness bestowed upon the undeserving.
Eph 2:5 says, “ even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ- by grace you have been saved”
3. Grace is a position where we stand and live
Rom.5:2 says, “Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.” Prayer : Dear Lord let live by your grace each day. Amen.
PRAISE & PRAYER
Praise God for His grace and power despite of the hurdle we undergo.
Pray for our finance situation for we require almost 55% of our needs to be met this month to pay the salaries and bills.
Pray with me that God will give us 300 people to stand with us in praying and supporting this ministry of Gospel Friends in India.
Please pray for the spiritual life conference to be held at Living Hope on 27th and 28th of this month. Our graduation for the Theological students is planned on the 30th of this month.
Kindly pray for our mega VBS with 5000 children to be held from the 2- 6 May at the Door of Hope in our campus at Mount Zion. We budgeted Rs. 8,00,000 for food, books, transportation, leaders and etc. All these children will stay with us five days. We cover the whole of south Tamilnadu State. Kindly pray for this great event which brings wonderful hope and future to children.
Kindly remember to pray for Jaya’s (my wife) sister Vijaya who goes through Kimo Therapy for lung cancer.
My heart was burdened with the following news found in Times of India News Paper, “As many as 203 children vanished in 14 days. Eight children go missing in Tamil Nadu every day, a large majority of whom are girls.Children who go missing face an uncertain future at best. Most often, activists say, organised gangs make them beg on the streets or work in factories, illegally sell their organs for transplantation or force them into child sex rackets.” Activists say people working for gangs that have networks across the state snatch newborns from government hospitals in cities like Chennai and abduct children from busy public places.
Let me thank you for your love and support. God bless you.
