March 10-11 – Int’l Students Inc. Regional Conference – Manhattan NYC
Consider joining together with 80-100 people who are reaching international students from DC up through Maine for two days of encouragement, prayer, training and fellowship. Conference will include prayer walking and multiple training topics such as Time Management, The Power of Teams, M28/Discovery Bible Studies, Marriage & Ministry, Singleness & Ministry, Answering Objections in Islam, and more. March 10-11 – “Help!, We’re Going on a Short-term Trip” – York, PA
Church of the Open Door is hosting this and from my experience, this is one of the best short-term trip preparation tools available. Definitely worth attending.  Larry Ragan will be the instructor.   Check out the website to find out more and to register.

Many in the missions world have been struggling with the changing landscape of missions funding here in the west, and access and impact in the least reached communities. Many mission agencies, churches and business people have turned to “tentmaking” or “Business as Mission (BAM)” or “Business for Transformation (B4T)” to address the significant issues we are facing as a result of these shifts. This webinar will help clarify what is happening in this burgeoning Marketplace Missions Movement – exploring terms used, strategies being employed, bottlenecks and obstacles the movement is facing, and some methods for overcoming them. The Philadelphia Regional Diaspora Network is hosting a Mapping Workshop with Bryan Galloway of People Groups (IMB) on March 17-18, 2017 in Philadelphia at Christian Stronghold Church for people interested in starting to map their area for people groups and places of interest with Diaspora communities.  Click here for more information, costs and registration.

June 22-24 – National African American Missions Conference – Vienna, VA
The National African American Mission Conference (NAAMC) invites all people who have a passion for missions and to see more African Americans mobilized to the mission field. NAAMC offers Missions-driven, powerful, dynamic plenary speakers. Informative and empowering workshops for all mission levels. Youth and young adult enrichment sessions and workshops.  Networking and collaboration with fellow missionaries. Also of note, The NAAMC Recognizes the special challenges many African Americans face to secure funding for mission service and in response to that they have established a scholarship fund to help meet that need. The scholarship committee will review each application, and the selected applicant will be notified. Deadline for completed Application – May 31, 2017.
