When Evidence Of The Newly Saved Becomes A Church Must
Do we ever pause to seriously reconcile the church worship and word of God experience with the fruit of evangelism mission?
It actually can become a demand for a local to prove it's reaching next generation disciples with new salvation experiences. Years of corporate and individual worship without fruit of corporate and individual witness can be evidence of stagation of Great Commission mission in obedient response to Christ to "Go make new disciples of all nations." [Matthew 28:19-20] The newly saved is literally our Lord's direct work honoring our efforts to evangelize them: "Each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved." [Acts 2:47] Without the fruit of new salvation experiences, we need only evaluate of ourselves corporately and individually: "What is our prayer, pace and practice to evangelize non-Christians with the Gospel of Jesus Christ?"

Interestingly, the church was birthed on the Day of Pentecost in an upper room experience of Christ presence, and the exact same day moved from His presence into outdoor witness with fruit of 3000 new converts won to Christ. [Acts Chapter 2] This historically was and remains to date our pattern of worship and witness. Worship maintains the church in Christ presence, witness moves the church into non-Christian circles to to reach new generation disciples, all with new salvation experiences: "But many of the people who heard their message believed it, so the number of men who believed now totaled about 5,000." [Acts 4:4]
And just hopefully we take reaching the newly saved as seriously as God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit does. Particularly the Holy Spirit will not stand idle and watch a local church relegated to merely worshipping in Christ presence, as Jesus was clear about "You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.¯ [Acts 1:8] It's the Holy Spirit who's the missional mover and shaker in Christ Great Commission work, speaking, separating and sending to assure the Gospel of Christ is advanced to new audience of non-Christians in communities, cities and countries of our world: 'The Holy Spirit said, ¯Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.¯ So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off.' [Acts 13:2-3]
But what may matter more than anything is, 'Is there a corporate and individual joy to participate in reaching the newly saved?' Maybe nothing saddens our Lord's heart greater than watching joyous expressions of worship in His presence dwindle to boredom and disconnect with His work of witnessing the Gospel to non-Christians. You see, there's always "more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent." [Luke 15:7] But isn't that odd, 'more rejoicing in heaven when new sinners are saved than those of us who don't need salvation?'
Perhaps one thing more rejoicing over the newly saved indicates is, once we're reached it's all about reaching the next one. We get one shot at creating rejoicing from our personal salvation experience, but endless shots at recreating rejoicing for each person new to faith in Christ as Savior.
