One Veteran's Dream

In 1945, Raymond Weeks returned to Birmingham as a World War II veteran. He dreamed of having a day when the country honored the living and dead veterans.

Mr. Weeks picked November 11th as his preferred date and developed a plan to present his petition to the highest level of military officer he could reach; the Army Chief of Staff.

Dwight Eisenhower, was that person, who later, as President of the United States, signed the national proclamation initiating Veteran’s Day.

In Hebrews 11, speaking of Abraham, we read, “And so from this one man, and he as good as dead, came descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky.”

If you have a God-inspired idea, don’t waste it. God can do amazing things with just one man!
