“…Field and fountain moor and mountain

Following yonder star……”

I wonder how you could follow a star; to keep your

Eyes on the heavens, and not know where you are.

To travel hundreds of miles through wilderness and plain;

Seeking a babe in a manger, through the cold and the rain.

To sleep through the day, when the heavens are bright;

‘Cause you can only follow a star by night.

How far would you travel to glimpse at His face;

To hold Him and touch Him, to feel His embrace?

What would you give to know His presence, His peace?

To partake of His mercies that will never cease?

There’s not far to travel, you don’t need a star;

His love is abounding right where you are.

Reach out and touch Him; He’s waiting for you

With a heart of love, and eternal life too!

Jesus our Bright Morning Star, and Day Spring;

We love You and thank You our Savior and King.

Matthew 2:9  When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.

When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.
