"Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad." John 8:56.
Abraham lived centuries before Jesus, so how did he see His day? He saw it the same way we do, by believing the word of God. Abraham, the father of faith, believed the promises God made to him. Why does God require us to have faith? Many of the things of God are unseen and to the natural man it is foolish to believe in something you can’t see. But God requires us to humble ourselves and believe and then we see them or understand them. Abraham wasn’t physically transported to Jesus day, that we know of. He saw the things in Jesus day, because God told him. God has told us unseen things in His word and we must believe them in order to see them. Remember to believe means to accept something as true. When we believe, we will rejoice like Abraham did.
I pray we believe the things God has for us and we see them and are blessed.
