There is a lot to be said about having faith in God. Jesus taught much on having faith in God during His days of ministry in a human body. But their is one interesting statement He had in regards to faith in God and that is found in Luke chapter 18 verse 8 where Jesus says in part, "... Nevertheless when the Son of man (ie - Jesus) comes, shall he find FAITH on the earth?" Many of us here in the church in America have been blessed to have so much teaching on this word faith. But the rubber meets the road in do we apply it in all situations. If God is in control as many of us often declare, then we should have calm assurance that no matter what things around us look like, we can state with confidence and faith that "If God be for us , who can be against us?", "We are blessed coming in and blessed going out!" and again, "One thing is sure, I have never seen God's children begging for food or going hungry!"
Years ago while in prayer I saw an image while my eyes where closed. What I saw was a bird hop up a sidewalk towards a door, knock on the door, and when the door opened the bird flipped his wing out as if asking for a handout." As I thought on what God was trying to show me, the scripture came to mind found in Matthew chapter 6 verses 25 and 26 where Jesus says, "Therefore I say to you, Do not be anxious for your life, what you shall eat, or what you shall drink; nor for your body, what you shall put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Behold the birds of the air; for they sow not, nor do they reap, nor gather into barns. Yet your heavenly Father feeds them; are you not much better than they are?" At the remembrance of this scripture I then heard God say to me, "son, when you see a bird begging for handouts, then you can worry that I am not going to take care of you!" The word of God spoken here is for all who believe, not just me. Have faith in God, he cares for you more than you really can comprehend. God loves you as you are and will not forsake or leave you. Cling to Him and walk out your salvation in trembling and fear. Have endurance, for he who endures until the end will overcome even as the scriptures declare! (See Matthew chapter 24 verse 13).
Let your faith in God give you calm assurance unto endurance to run the race God has ordained you to run. You can trust His power and ability to deliver, heal, provide, save, and meet all your needs according to His riches in Heaven.
Walk with God and remember to be a faithful witness where ever you are, people need to know that there is a God who has forgiven them and loves them more than they know. For God was forgave all mankinds sin at calvary and nailed it to the cross with Jesus. But they must appropriate the forgiveness in there lives through confession to God, and God alone.
Much Love to you all and keep the faith alive.
