Jews and Christians: Are We Really Related?

Jews and Christians: Are We Really Related? by Sid Roth
Jesus came to break down the middle wall of separation between Jew and Gentile (Ephesians 2:14). But today the two are still separated. When a (Gentile) Christian looks at a Jew, he thinks, "I don't see anything Christian about you." And when a Jew looks at a Christian, he thinks, "I don't see anything Jewish about you." The rabbis say, "You can't be Jewish and believe in Jesus." Many Christians...

How Exciting the Word!

Posted Feb 1st 2005, 11:08 by A Word of Truth on Teaching/Education

Hello and welcome to A Word of Truth!
I am currently re-reading, "The Case for Christ," and just loving it! Lee Strobel did a wonderful job in writing this very readable examination of the evidence for the Jesus of history and of course the Jesus of our faith.
What this book does for me as a believer is to just affirm what my faith in God has already told me, and I get excited just thinking about it. This sinful world...

The Cure For Weak Faith

Posted Feb 1st 2005, 11:08 by word of Life on Prophetic

6 And he was amazed at their lack of faith. Then Jesus went around teaching from village to village.
Don't despair if your faith is weak. Everyone starts out with weak faith.
Your faith can be fed and grow strong.
Faith requires evidence to rest upon. The Bible provides the evidence that your faith needs.
ROMANS 10:l7 New Life
17 So then, faith comes to us by hearing the Good News. And the Good News comes by someone preaching it.

Quality time with kiddos

Posted Feb 1st 2005, 11:05 by Godly Womanhood on Christian Living

It's hard to fit in a devotional or Bible story every night with the way my dh's schedule is.
He wouldn't participate, and it's hard to do it when he's here...he's here until the kiddos are already in bed.
So, I'm considering a weekend mom and kiddos thing -- 'something' like a Bible story and/or devotional, a lesson on manners, and a memory verse or something.
I'm looking for some ideas of how to make this work or even ideas of...

I seek nothing else, I have no higher aim. I'm not laying ground rules nor staking a claim. I feel good just knowing that you know my name. Just your friendship, that's all that I want.
I won't hold you back and I want you to know That if you change...

Ministering to the World

Posted Feb 1st 2005, 11:00 by Global Network of Christian Indian Leaders on Evangelism/Missions

Dear friends,
We have started an international congregation recently in New York, mainly aimed at the second generation Indians born in USA who prefer to worship in English. But once the medium is English, it is no longer restricted to a group. The grace of God appeared for all anyway. Thus, this has become quickly an international service with currently nine nationalities attending.
This year we have decided to make the services available online for the sake of other youths in the...

What Have I Done Wrong?

Posted Feb 1st 2005, 10:25 by Mercy and Truth Ministries on Church & Ministry

Your cries have come up before My face questioning what you have done wrong. I tell you truly, that this condemnation has come through the enemy. Don't think about what you might have done wrong, but find solace in what you have done right. You have been obedient to do what I have set before you. You have shared My word without compromise, fear or regret. You have worshiped in the secret place of the...

Pursue Him And Gain True Understanding

Posted Feb 1st 2005, 10:20 by SELLING AMONG WOLVES - Without Joining The Pack! on Christian Living

You know that Solomon was the wisest person to have ever lived and he said that if we would APPLY OUR HEART TO UNDERSTANDING, that we would understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. In fact, Solomon gave us eight practical guidelines to apprehend these valuable attributes and this is the fourth one.
What does it mean to APPLY OUR HEART TO UNDERSTANDING and how does that relate to the business world? Well, the...
