High Mount Of Pride

Posted Jun 1st 2007, 10:51 by Ascended Life on Christian Living

Daily Word - Repost
“The Lord said also unto me in the days of Josiah the king, Hast thou seen that which backsliding Israel hath done? She is gone up upon every high mountain and under every green tree, and there hath played the harlot.” Jeremiah 3:6
When the prophet Jeremiah shared what the Lord had said to him regarding Israel going up “upon every high mountain” it is most likely that he was speaking metaphorically. Travel had not advanced to the...

Prayer Update - Bear

Posted Jun 1st 2007, 10:50 by The Rustling Grass on Prayer

He's not doing very well, he hasn't eaten since Wednesday evening. He's barely drinking either. I take him to the vet tomorrow morning. They will check how his kidneys are doing, and give him fluids if needed. I don't know what is keeping him going, but I believe there's a reason. We will decide tomorrow what will be best for him. He doesn't seem to be in any pain. Will let you know more tomorrow.
God Bless
Nancy

Spiritual Adultery

Posted Jun 1st 2007, 10:49 by Manna for Living on Christian Living

You adulterers! Don't you realize that friendship with this world makes you an enemy of God? I say it again, that if your aim is to enjoy this world, you can't be a friend of God. --- James 4:4
When the devil uses this world to appeal to the sinful bent inside us, all hell can break loose in our lives. James 4 likens this flirting with the world as unfaithfulness, or spiritual adultery.
This analogy of unfaithfulness is used often...

Our first day in Athens in our tour to Israel

Posted Jun 1st 2007, 10:47 by A Chapel Of Friends on Prayer

Our first arrival after flying all night brought us to Athens

Athens is a city of Cyprus trees and white houses and apartment buildings.  There is many aspects of marble apparent due to marble from a nearby mountain.

Athens is surrounded by 7 hills which I found very unusual.

The streets are narrow and the old style of the city is retained with trees and plants being an important aspect and the height of buildings restricted to 7 stories high

Trees are on...

HE DECLARED TO US

Posted Jun 1st 2007, 10:32 by A Thought for the Day on Teaching/Education

A FAITHFUL REPORT
"As ye also learned of Epaphras our dear fellowservant, who is for you a faithful minister of Christ; who also declared unto us your love in the Spirit." (Colossians 1:7-8)
Devotion 15 of 19
HE DECLARED TO US
" Who also declared unto us . . . "
The word "declared" means to "make manifest," or "make clear and plain" (THAYER). The idea is that Epaphras made known the real circumstance among the Colossians. He did not give his personal assessment...

Not By The Rules We Keep -The Whole World is Watching How We Love One Another

Posted Jun 1st 2007, 10:30 by A Lament on Christian Living

Not By The Rules We Keep
by Jon Walker
“Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.” (John 13:35 NLT)
The whole world is watching how we love one another.
Jesus gave the world the right to judge the authenticity of our faith by how much we love other believers. We prove our faith in Christ, not by the rules we keep, but by the love we give.
Notice Jesus didn’t say, “Love me,” as proof of...

Best Kept Secrets

Posted Jun 1st 2007, 10:26 by For HIS Kidz on Church & Ministry

As an evangelist I get to see a lot of the country.  Many places, such as the Oregon Coast, Florida Everglades, Utah’s parks, or Indiana’s caves claim to be "the best kept secret" in the country.  I love seeing what the locals think is best.  Two weeks ago I went airboating in Florida and saw ’bout a hunnert’ alligators!  And that’s not evangelistically speaking!

Once I drove through Yellowstone National Park in the dark looking for a motel.  On the...

The King James Version (Authorized)
Isaiah 58 - Study This Chapter
1 Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.
2 Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God: they ask of me the ordinances of justice; they take...

Morning Glory (June 1, 2007)

Just Like
You
Deryck
Toles

How is it that I'm just like
you?
My walk, my talk, we even have the
same point of views.
You've only been in my life for a
year or two
But when I look in the mirror, all
I see is you.

I see that we are so much
alike
As I look through the peep hole of
your life
God showed me the morning, noon,
and night
Hurt, pain, struggles, and yet in
spite

You still rise to the
top
Formally known as...

PRACTICING THE SEER GIFT

Posted Jun 1st 2007, 09:48 by School Of The Prophets USA on Prophetic

TO THOSE THAT ARE CALLED TO BE SAINTS:
The Word says:
Joel 2:28-29:
"And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; YOUR SONS AND YOUE DAUGHTERS SHALL PROPHESY, your old men shall dream dreams, and YOUR YOUNG MEN SHALL SEE VISIONS. Even on the male and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit.
The Lord promised through the mouths of His prophets that He was going to pour out His Spirit...
