Ask of Me

Ask of Me
The Great Revolt
As though Jesus were reading a news summary of recent years, His prophecies of two thousand years ago clearly describe our times. Thus, we are compelled to discern accurately the significant era in which we live. Indeed, of the many prophetic fulfillments of our day, one in particular rises with undimmed candor. I am speaking of what the Bible calls the "apostasy." Recall Paul's warning:
"Let no one in any way deceive you, for...

Arise, Shine!

Arise Shine!
When I consider the darkness unfolding in the world - the wars and rumors of wars, the abounding iniquity, the failing of men’s hearts for fear, the rebellion against the Lord, etc. - it occurs to me that the staging of this backdrop of darkness is nearly in place. What I mean is that, according to Isaiah 60:1-3, it is during this very time of darkness that God is preparing His people for a baptism of...

When Christ Is Formed in Us

When Christ Is Formed in Us
The intercessory prayer of the Apostle Paul was not just a prayer for protection or for a few blessings to rest upon the saints. He said, "My children, with whom I am again in labor until Christ is formed in you" (Gal. 4:19). Paul was "in labor" to bring forth the actual spirit of Christ within the church. Let me say it again: his goal was Christ, not merely Christianity!
Any mother can...

True Revival

True Revival
People often ask me, "When true revival comes, what will it look like?" To me, a revival is not legitimized merely by the increasing numbers of signs and wonders. Moses, Elijah and Elisha all had great signs accompanying their lives, but signs do not equate to revival. Israel was often awed by manifestations, yet supernatural wonders never brought the nation to repentance.
What about powerful and exciting church services? Personally, I do not believe church services every...

Time to Learn Righteousness

Time to Learn Righteousness
"At night my soul longs for You,
Indeed, my spirit within me seeks You diligently;
For when the earth experiences Your judgments
The inhabitants of the world learn righteousness" (Isa. 26:9).
Fear Among the Nations
There is trepidation among the nations, and indeed there should be. Political leaders strike poses of confidence, yet express anxious whispers and dread when they are alone:
What is happening in our world? Will it get worse?
No one really knows the outcome of this time....

Where Every Prayer Is Answered
By Francis Frangipane
We should not assume that simply because we are Christians we have learned the secret of abiding in Christ. Jesus said, "If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you" (John 15:7). To abide in Him is to live in ceaseless fusion with His passions. It is to have found the habitation of God where no barrier or...

To Seek His Face
By Francis Frangipane
You say, "But we have humbled ourselves and prayed; we are turning from our wicked ways. Why has He not healed our land?" (See 2 Chron. 7:14.) I'm sure He has heard our prayers, but perhaps we desire our healing more than we desire God Himself. Thus there is yet one more imperative that 2 Chronicles 7:14 calls us to fulfill. The Lord said, "...and seek My face."
Beloved, when the Lord called...

United in Worship and War

United in Worship and War
One need not be a Bible scholar to recognize that Israel was called to be uncompromisingly united in their worship of God. Three times a year each tribe was required to come to Jerusalem to worship during the feasts. However, in addition to unity in worship, they also had to be united in warfare. Unless they ultimately faced the battle as "one man," their victory was rarely assured. (See Judges 6:16; 20:1, 8, 11; 1 Sam....

A Call to War

A Call to War
"The Lord will go forth like a warrior, He will arouse His zeal like a man of war. He will utter a shout, yes, He will raise a war cry. He will prevail against His enemies” (Is 42:13). God is building His church and "the gates of hell will not prevail against it" (Matt 16:18).
The Lord is birthing something today that far exceeds the preservation of a "new doctrine". Jesus is appearing as He did to...

Life-Giving Spirit

Life-Giving Spirit
As Christians our faith tells us that Christ died as payment for our sins. We believe He actually rose from the grave as proof that He was indeed sent by God. Yet it is also our conviction that, upon this resurrection event, not only were the sins of mankind atoned for but through Christ a second Genesis began.
Paul explains, "The first man, Adam, became a living soul. The last Adam became a life-giving spirit" (1 Cor. 15:45). The...

Becoming the Revelation of Jesus

Becoming the Revelation of Jesus
"For I would have you know, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a revelation of Jesus Christ" (Gal. 1:11-12).
The Bible is not merely a "how-to" book. It is not just a history book. Nor is it a type of religious "crystal ball" to peer into the future. At its core,...

The Tent of Meeting

The Tent of Meeting
"When You said, 'Seek My face,' my heart said to You, 'Your face, O Lord, I shall seek'" (Ps. 27:8).
A Time to Seek God
There are certain times when the Lord calls us out of the routine of our daily lives. These are special seasons where His only command is "Seek My face." He has something precious and vitally important to give us that the familiar pattern of our daily devotions cannot accommodate. During such times people are...

Humility Precedes Holiness

Humility Precedes Holiness
"The bigger I grow in God, the smaller I become."
                                   ---Allen Bond
A Holy Man Is a Humble Man
"Learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart" (Matt. 11:29 KJV). The holiest, most powerful voice that ever spoke described Himself as "meek and lowly in heart." Why begin a message on holiness with a quote concerning humility? Simply because holiness is the product of grace and God gives grace only to the humble.
It is vital we...

Guarded by His Word

Guarded by His Word
Obedience to God's Word gives us more than commands to obey; the Word also creates a place to abide. Indeed, the Word guides us into the presence of the Father; it is the Father's presence that both empowers and protects us.
Jesus said,
"My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand....

The Shelter of God

Posted Jan 28th, 12:00 by Francis Frangipane Ministries on Christian Living

The Shelter of God
There is a place of immunity for the believer, a spiritual fortress in Christ that shelters us from the attacks of the devil. For those who abide in this stronghold of God, the onslaught of the wicked one does not touch them. Here, in this secret dwelling with the Almighty, we are hidden from the effects of the accuser's tongue; we are sheltered from the assignment of the destroyer.
The dictionary defines immunity as "freedom or exemption, as...
