Re: Why my prayers aren't working

AMEN SISTA!! I am a teacher also, so I understand how you feel. I have a poster in my room that says hot head and cold hearts solve nothing.  There are times when I find myself going there too.  I have a thing about disrespectful children too.  I am in a middle school and deal with children who have discipline issues.  That means all I see all day long are "bad kids".  No matter how much I try to "counsel"...

Why my prayers aren't working

Posted Apr 30th 2006, 04:11 by Washed Lives Ministries on Christian Living

This past week the Holy Ghost has intensified our conversation time.  As a teacher, there is a type of student that just gets under my skin.  If you are a teacher you know what I am talking about.  If you are not don't worry your child is not one of them. :)  No matter at what school, what city; this child is always in my class and I can't shake them.  I have come to realize that it is a...

RE: Mouth Filled With Praise!!!

Glory
to God for the woman of God. This is a timely word. We must rejoice in the Lord
daily, without reason or shame, but with a grateful heart to know that, "HE
LIVES!" and thru Him we live and have eternal life.

Psalm 63:3-7 Because thy loving kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee. Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.
My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips: When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.
Because thou has been my help, therefore in...

The Word for Today

Posted Apr 28th 2006, 11:05 by Washed Lives Ministries on Christian Living

Hope is a very powerful spiritual force. Hope combined with faith makes it alive. Hope is activated through your positive attitude and your confident knowing that it will work out for your good. We can hold fast to that truth, knowing that all of the promises of God are yea and Amen.
God is Sovereign and He is also our beloved Father. He withholds no good thing from those that walk upright before Him. ...

What is Rhema

Rhema Word Rhema - the spoken Word of God; denotes the teaching or utterances in which God through someone declares His mind.
God still speaks to those with the faith to be able to hear His voice. The Word of God consists of what is from the Bible and also from the Rhema word, which is the same spiritual Word from God that was given to the prophets of old which are recorded in the Bible.
 Rhema is the Word...

Good morning Jody,
Rhema is the Ancient Greek word that describes the act of speaking. It can be found in the following New Testament passages: Matthew 12:36. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhema
Bishop Kenneth Fuller stated that our words frame our world. Therefore, we must be sure to apply God's spoken word in every situation of lives. I hope this is helpful.
Praise God!

The Word for Today

Posted Apr 26th 2006, 10:20 by Washed Lives Ministries on Christian Living

God doesn't always spare us difficulty or keep us from troubles. In His infinite wisdom, many times He allows us to go through tremendous trials. The truth is though, that some of our best fruit, finest works and richest anointing will grow out of these incredibly painful times in our lives.

Our trials and our tests come to make us strong. As we are tried, we must be mindful to apply Rhema Word to these various situations. God has just...

Attitude

Posted Apr 19th 2006, 12:00 by Washed Lives Ministries on Christian Living

V ATTITUDE As believers, we are to crucify the flesh with all of it's carnal desires. Man is a three part being: spirit, body and soul. It is the soul (mind) that harbors various attitudes. The soul and the flesh are used interchangeably throughout the Scriptures. We must be careful not to allow our carnal mind and mind set to prevail in our daily routines, while the Lord trying to answer our prayer for a renewed mind...

One day the president of a successful real estate company stood before his sales staff of about one hundred. After presenting several new properties, he stated, “My success story has been written up in a national business magazine. If you would like a copy, just see my secretary.”
A lightning bolt of dismay and tension struck the staff. Angry looks were exchanged, and murmuring began: “Who does he think he is?! We are the ones that ...
