Hey there folks, and happy Labor Day! I hope that you spend as much time as you can NOT doing labor and enjoy this last big weekend of the summer. Before long we'll be talking about how nice the fall is and how well (or not) our favorite football teams are doing!

Strictly Gospel 2007 has come and gone, but it was a great time of music, ministry, and fun. Tim and the rest of the folks at Strictly Gospel did a great job of pulling together a terrific afternoon. All the groups did a great job, and it was especially wonderful to be with The Freemans. We're already looking forward to next year and want to encourage folks in the Dayton area to look for other concerts that Tim is putting together. He's got a great heart for ministry and is first class all the way!

It was great to connect with several folks from the past there as well. That's the area I went to high school and sometimes after football games there were a few of us that would go and engage in some toilet papering activities on the local trees. Now, it was all done in fun and we typically hit houses of friends. I shared with the folks at the concert that there were several familiar looking trees that I passed on my way to the event and wanted to apologize if any of them had been the targets of our teenage pranks. :)

We're getting all geared up for the National Quartet Convention! We'll be arriving on the 9th and have a full week planned. There are several meetings that I have scheduled, as well as the 1 hour radio show on 770 am Tuesday afternoon. I'll be on from 4pm - 5pm and the we'll be playing my new CD and talking about the songs and our ministry. From 4:30 - 5pm I'll be joined by Mark Crary who runs Angelic Talent. We'll be talking about the Angelic Showcases on Wednesday and Thursday at the Executive West Queen room. It's going to be a great time, and you can see all the details by clicking on www.angelicshowcase.com . I'll even be the special guest emcee for this year's events and am really looking forward to the time. If you'll be at NQC this year, be sure and stop by booths 310 & 312 and visit us. Kelly and I will be there the entire week, and Miranda will be performing regularly, I'm sure.

Here's the part where I tell you about the single and ask you to contact your local stations. Please just give a call and request they play "He Made Something Out Of Me" by Rod Burton, on the latest Eddie Crook radio CD. ALSO...send an e-mail HERE and request that they play it as well. You can also call XM at 1-866-414-3434 and request the song as well. The local radio stations are great, but the XM station is nationwide and brings a lot of exposure. The last way to request is to click on this link and request the song through Solid Gospel. Again...the more requests these folks get, the better response and air play the song will get! http://solidgospel.com/subpage.asp?StationId=SolGos&PageNo=51

Lastly...this weekend we'll be at Indian Lakes campground in Wolcotville, Indiana. Paul and the good folks there have asked us to come be a part of their annual pancake breakfast Monday morning, so we'll be sharing and ministering starting at 8:30. If you're in that area...come on by!

Till next time...ya'll have a great week!
