Word for 2005
John Siefker
What a time to be living in!

As I was spending time with the Lord, I asked the Lord what He had for His Body for the new year. The Lord begin to speak and show to me things that were a part of all that He was going to do in the hearts and lives of His people. Be abundantly blessed and encouraged in Him.

Resting Upon & Tarrying

The Lord is going to show Himself strong on the behalf of His people (2 Chronicles 16:9). There will be many different manifestations of the power, glory and presence of the Lord, as He comes and reveals Himself in our midst. Romans 9:23-24, "And that He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy, which He had afore prepared unto glory, Even us, whom He hath called..."

There will be a "resting upon" and a "tarrying" of His Presence and Glory on meetings, over whole cities and even over regions. It will be like the times when the Lord was leading the children of Israel in the wilderness. Exodus 40:34-38:

Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of
the Lord filled the tabernacle. (v34)

And Moses was not able to enter into the tent of the congregation,
because the cloud abode thereon, and the glory of the Lord filled the
     tabernacle. (v35)

And when the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the
children of Israel went onward in all their journeys: (v36)

But if the cloud were not taken up, then they journeyed not till the day
that it was taken up. (v37)

For the cloud of the Lord was upon the tabernacle by day, and fire
was on it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel... (v38)

This is a year of "restoration." This will be the time that the Lord restores all that the devil has stolen from God's children over the years. The restoration will be in every area of the believer's life. There will be restorations of families, marriages, relationships and finances. Joel 2:21, 23-27:

...Be glad and rejoice: for the Lord will do great things. (v21)

Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God:
for He hath given you the former rain moderately, and He will cause
to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in
     the first month. (v23)

And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the fats shall overflow with
     wine and oil. (v24)

And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the
cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, My great
army which I sent among you. (v25)

And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of
the Lord your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and My
people shall never be ashamed. (v26)

And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel (My people), and
that I am the Lord your God, and none else: and My people shall
     never be ashamed. (v27)

The restoration will also be in the body of Christ. This will be a time of restoring all of the different anointings, gifts and mantles that the previous to present Godly men and women had and walked in; that the devil has stolen. Not only will they be restored but there will also be a multiplication of them to His Body and an increase of the levels of anointing that they will carry and walk in.

The returning of the apostolic, to the likes of the early church will come back into it's fullness. Mark 5:25-34:

And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,

And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent
all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,

When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and
     touched His garment (v27)

For she said, "If I may touch but His clothes, I shall be made
     whole." (v28)

And straightway the fountian of her blood was dried up; and she felt
in her body that she was healed of that plague. (v29)

And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that virtue had gone out
of Him, turned Him about in the press, and said, "Who touched My
     clothes?" (v30)

And His disciples said unto Him, " Thou seest the multitude thronging
thee, and sayest thou, Who touched Me?" (v31)
And He looked round about to see her that had done this thing. (v32)

But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her,
came and fell down before Him, and told Him all the truth. (v33)

And He said unto her, "Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go
in peace, and be whole of thy plague." (v34)

The woman represents the body of Christ and the condition that it is in today. The number 12, represents the apostolic and governmental authority. Today we see how the body of Christ has been abused, deceived and stolen from by the enemy. She has been made bloody and a mess by all the attacks she has received from the enemy. But that is all going to change and it will require some action on our part.

The three simple ingredients that are required of us are: "repentance, intimacy and faith." We will be required to: press in, have faith, reach out on our knees (in prayer) and touch Jesus. As we touch the very heart of the Father, we will be made whole. All those wounds that we have received from the enemy and all those things that the enemy has used against us to hold us back, will disappear.

The Lord is going to restore back to His people all that the enemy has stolen, in an instance. His people will walk in miraculous, healing power; bringing in the harvest and glory to His Name.

It doesn't just stop there but the Lord also goes on to show us more in Mark 5:35-42:

While He yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue's
house certain which said, "Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou
     the Master any further?" (v35)

As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He saith unto the
ruler of the synagogue, "Be not afraid, only believe." (v36)

And He suffered no man to follow Him, save Peter, and James, and
John the brother of James. (v37)

And He cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and
seeing the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly. (v38)

And when He was come in, He saith unto them, "Why make ye this
ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth." (v39)

And they laughed to Him to scorn. But when He had put them all
out, He taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them
that were with Him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying. (v40)

And He took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her,
"Talithacumi"; which is, being interpreted, "Damsel, I say unto thee,
     arise." (v41)

And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the
age of twelve years. And they were astonished with great
     astonishment. (v42)

Here in this passage of scripture, we again see how the world sees the apostolic body of Christ. The world veiws the body of Christ as being dead and having no power. The power of God is life. The world continues to say "Why don't you just give up and throw in the towel?" "There really is no use, quit troubling yourself."

The words of Jesus always brings hope and life. He says to us to "only believe" and to not be afraid or fearful of what you hear the enemy says or what the world says about you. The mocking and the jeering are over because He is coming to awaken His Body, to raise her up and bring her back into the place where she is suppose to be. His Body is going to walk in His power as it was when Jesus was on the earth, in these last days.

Right now Jesus is calling His Church to come forth and to walk in His power. The world and the enemy are going to be shocked and amazed as they watch His people go forth, walking in great power and authority.

There will be a release of fresh revelation with a knowledge and a understanding of it. The Holy Spirit is going to reveal the deep things that are in the chambers of the Father's heart.

Purity and Holiness

The Lord is bringing a purity and a holiness back to His Body. This will be a refining, purifying and a defining time for His Body. Malachi 3:3:

And He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and He shall purify
the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may
offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness.

In all of this, His Body will walk in a holy reverence and a fear of the Lord. The Lord is not looking for gold or silver vessels but "yielded vessels.

The Color

Green is the color that I was shown for the year. Green is symbolic of:

     New and fresh things

Growth - in every area of the believers' lives

Healing - Revelations 22:2 "...the leaves of the tree were for
                   the healing of the nations."

Increase and Multiplication

"Increase" and "multiplication" will be seen in everything that the Lord is doing. There will be an increase of the angelic in meetings and in the marketplace as they carry out the Word of the Lord.

Increase of His Power to be released in and through us for advancing His Kingdom and bring in the harvest. Breakthrough and breakout!

Expect the unexpected!
