Spring cleaning time is up us.   This is a great opportunity to get rid of the patterns, fabric, notions and batting you might not have a use for anymore.   Please gather up your items and bring them up and bring to the Miracle Quilts Show on Saturday, June 8 for the one day QUILTER¯S/SEWER¯S GARAGE SALE.  The items will offered on a donation basis.  All proceeds from the quilt/sewers garage sale will go to purchase fabric, batting and thread for Miracle Quilts future projects.

Miracle Quilts donated a quilt to Maire Kent, a 23 year old Army veteran from the Waterford area.  Maire is suffering from cancer in the heart.   She cannot work or doesn¯t qualify for insurance from the government.   There was a fundraiser for her at a restaurant

In Waterford.   Three members of the Miracle Quilts group attended and had the opportunity to meet Maire.

Can you help out with the quilting process?   We have quilt tops, batting and backing ready to go for you to take home.   They can be completed on a long arm or a domestic machine.  There will be some at each gathering of Miracle Quilts.  You may add the binding or return it and we will add it.   Please feel free to check one out.

Mark your calendars.  Saturday, April 27 is the Columbiaville Methodist Church Quilt Show.   The theme for the show is Our Veterans and the Military. Carole will be doing two trunk shows on the day of the event.    Miracle Quilts and Desert Angels will be setting up displays for this show.

The Miracle Quilt Show is approaching quickly..   We have sign up sheets for volunteers that day.   We will have two shifts that day.   They will run from 12:00 to 1:30 and 1:30 to 3. We will also have set up and break down committees.  Please help us out by volunteering to man a table.

In order to get the word out about Miracle Quilt Show, flyers for the show have been made.   If you are going to any of the local quilt shops, please see Carole for a packet to take with you.  Most shops have a table where they put notices and will gladly display them.

If you are making a quilt for Miracle Quilts, we are encouraging you to construct a matching pillowcase.   The measurements are 27 inches for the main body of the pillowcase, 1¯ inches for the contrasting fabric and 10 inches for the pillowcase cuff.  If you do not wish to make the case and can send in the 10 inches of matching for the cuff, we can make the pillowcase at Miracle Quilts.
