¯Immediate Press Release for 2014 Berks County Region First Responder Appreciation Events Hosted by Thunder Outreach.¯
Thunder Outreach spearheading huge regional First Responder Appreciation events to be held this June and July!... ¯We can never say ¯Thank You¯ enough to our First Responders!¯ That is the core value shared by Mark Malizzi, President of the local faith based program Thunder Outreach, and his team as they have reached out to show appreciation to First Responders in the Berks County region over the past three years.
With support and endorsements from local Congressmen and Senators, Berks County School Districts and local companies such as; VF Outlet, National Penn Bank, Kulp Car Rental, Fred Beans Ford of Boyertown, Reading Fightin¯ Phils, Chapter IV of the PA Blue Knights Motorcycle Program, the Fraternal Order of Police as well as the Berks County Commissioners, this year¯s events are expected to exceed those held in previous years!
Many June events are already set in place including First Responder Appreciation Sundays at several regional churches such as;
Petra Christian Fellowship in New Holland, June1 @ 9&11am
Glad Tidings Assembly of God in West Reading, June 8 @ 9&11am
Divine Harvest Ministries in Center City Reading - June 22 @ 6:30 pm
(With a Special Benefit Concert with "Heaven's Thunder" Christian Rock band for a local 18 Firefighter that just had a Spinal Stroke)
Morning Star Fellowship in Boyertown.- June 29 @ 9-11am
These special Sundays will offer the chance for people from all around Berks County, and the surrounding regions, to come visit, shake hands and say thank you to their local First Responders and their families.
With the help of local companies and sponsors, Thunder Outreach was able to purchase 6000 tickets to a special Reading Fightin¯ Phils Baseball game to be held on July 20, 2014. These tickets will be given out for FREE to local First Responders and their families.
Thunder Outreach is showing appreciation to First Responders through random acts of kindness such as partnering with local Boy Scout troops and church youth groups as they take the time to ¯Serve those who Protect and Serve our community¯ by washing their Fire and Police vehicles. Another powerful, yet simple, act of kindness is the participation of local elementary schools such as; Daniel Boone, Brandywine, Tulpehocken and Kutztown as their students color ¯First Responder Thank You¯ pictures. These pictures will then be distributed to the First Responders in the region.
Taking time to thank our First Responders and their families is important and with the support and help of everyone in our community combined with the vision of the Thunder Outreach Team, we are hoping to make this year¯s events the biggest yet! Come out to an event near you and say ¯Thank you!¯
