This is a word written while on our 25th wedding anniversay trip 10 years ago. The theme speaks louder today as we approach the Lord's set time for His glory to arise on His holy nation.
Last Day Thoughts
“In the mountain of His Presence let the glory shine.” This was a sing song phrase I was singing as the sun rose higher in the sky and illuminated the mountains off the deck where I stood in our last day in Hawaii. The thought that I had was that in the last day the mountain of His presence is where all the action is going to take place. His attention will be turned toward His dwelling place of Zion along with the rest of creation. His glory will shine forth from His Holy Hill. (Isaiah 24:23) As I continued to listen to the “voice” of the mountain I wrote down the following word:
A New Day
Yesterday it was shrouded in mystery - today it’s clear. This is the thought I had about the mountain, remembering the clouds that covered its ranges yesterday, hiding the deep beauty that lay below. But today is a new day. The sun is shining brightly and the dark crevices of yesterday have taken on their true form, rising up toward the majestic peaks, together proclaiming the promise that is tomorrow.
This is a picture of what is about to unfold for the church. The deep mysteries of the love of God that have been shrouded by the clouds of unbelief are about to be revealed as the brightness of His glory arises upon the mountain of His presence, replacing the dark shadows of doubt with a true understanding of the depths of His love. This day of revelation will enlighten our path toward the full possession of the high promises of God in Christ Jesus.
And the Lord of hosts will prepare a lavish banquet (Feast of Illumination) for all people on this mountain, a banquet of aged wine, choice pieces with marrow, and refined, aged wine. And on this mountain He will swallow up the covering which is over all nations...And it will be said on that day, behold this is our God for whom we have waited that He might save us.
"And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Most High; For you will go on BEFORE THE LORD TO PREPARE HIS WAYS; To give to His people the knowledge of salvation by the forgiveness of their sins, because of the tender mercy of our God, with which the Sunrise from on high shall visit us, to SHINE UPON THOSE WHO SIT IN DARKNESS AND THE SHADOW OF DEATH, to guide our feet into the way of peace."
