God's Work Ministry Inspirational and Encouragement E-Mail

Dear Friend,

We should always have a proper perspective and not allow the trials and challenges of life to overwhelm us and make us believe the lie that we can’t overcome and be victorious over that situation.  God in heaven has given us His Word and His promise that He would be with us to strengthen us, give us His peace and assure us that in the end, all will be well with us.  Now our job is to believe God and go through life with a quiet confidence knowing that no matter what may come our way, we will come out of it better, wiser and stronger than we were before.  We must go through the fire in confidence knowing that we will come out of it without even the smell of smoke on us because God is faithful and true to keep His promise to keep us safe. (Isaiah 26:3-4) (Hebrews 13:5-6)

No matter what you may be going through and no matter how discouraged you may feel right now, I want you to know that God is right there by your side giving you the strength to cope and whispering in your spirit to trust Him with all of your heart because He loves you with an everlasting and unending love that only our Heavenly Father can give.  When we believe God’s Word we will go through life much more at peace because we will have the assurance that our latter end will be much greater than our meager beginnings.  Be encouraged to believe what Psalm 138:7 declares “Though I walk in the midst of trouble, Thou wilt revive me: Thou shalt stretch forth Thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and Thy right hand shall save me.” (Psalm 34:6-10) (Psalm 119:10-11)

Let God be your vindicator and trust Him in every circumstance knowing that your life will go from glory to glory, from stepping stone to steppingstone until you have reached your fullest potential and became all that God has created you to be.  That is when you can make known His deeds amongst all the people giving Him Praise, Honor, and Glory for all that He has delivered you from, brought you through and has established your feet upon His solid ground.  The Lord deserves to receive the praises of His people for the great things that He has done. (Romans 12:18-21) (Psalm 105:1-5)

I hope this message inspires and challenges your heart to always have a proper perspective in life knowing that the tough times won’t last, but they will work to your benefit if you allow them to.

A police car pulled up in front of an older woman's house, and her husband climbed out. The polite policeman explained that “this elderly gentleman” said that he was lost in the park and couldn't find his way home.

“How could it happen?” asked his wife. “You've been going to that park for over 30 years! How could you get lost?”

Leaning close to her ear so that the policeman couldn't hear, he whispered, “I wasn't lost - I was just too tired to walk home.”

These bodies become less cooperative as we age. For some, work becomes less fun and fun becomes more work. One older friend commented, “I've reached the age where the warranty has expired on my remaining teeth and internal organs.”

But I like the spirit of Charles Marowitz. “Old age is like climbing a mountain,” he says. “The higher you get the more tired and breathless you become. But your view becomes much more extensive.”

Atop the mountain, one has a better view of the world. One can see above the differences that divide people. One can better see beyond petty hurts and human fragility. Atop the mountain, one has a longer view of the past and can, therefore, understand the future with more clarity. Atop the mountain, one looks down on dark clouds of gloom and despair and fear and notices that they are neither as large nor as ominous as those beneath them would believe. It is also clearer that however dark they may appear, they too, are fleeting and will someday pass.

George Bernard Shaw said, “Some are younger at seventy than most at seventeen.” I think it is because they have a broader outlook.

It will take a lifetime to climb the mountain, but, for me, the view will be worth the journey.

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

Hebrews 4:14-16 “Seeing then that we have a Great High Priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an High Priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”

Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.”

Philippians 1:6 “Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.”

Hebrews 13:5-6 “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.”

Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

All of these scriptures can be found in the King James Version Bible.
