Dear beloved: pics, waving Kansas wheat field one month from harvest; harvest of souls in Tanzania
John 4:34 Jesus said to them, "My food is to do the will of HIm who sent Me, and to finish His work. v35 Do you not say, "There are still four months and then comes the harvest?" Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest! v36 And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. v37 For in this the saying is true: One sows and another reaps."
Beloved, the beauty of the Kansas countryside is breathtaking at this time of the year. The wheat is starting to fill out in the head, and at the same time, storms are gathering to provide rain but also to threaten the crop with hail and high winds. It is an anxious time for the farmers! The harvest of souls is also ready and plentiful, but Jesus said, "Pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest." Notice the harvest requires laborers, it doesn't come in on its own. Just as in the wheat harvest, the machinery has to be made ready, the workers lined up. There is sweat and toil involved. One sows, another reaps, but the Lord provides the increase. We praise God for the provision for ten years of crusades in countries of Africa, not just for provision but the strength to get it done. We also thank God for the many prayer warriors and people who have supplied the provision so the gospel can be preached. Pray about your part in the harvest in Tanzania, we are planning to go back there in August to Dar es Salaam to conduct a crusade. May God bless you as you pray!
