He has given food and provision to those who reverently and worshipfully fear Him; He will remember His covenant forever and imprint it (on His mind) Psalm 111:5

And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

You may be in a tough spot in your life, as you read this today. Your mind may be filled with worry thoughts about how you will pay your bills and even where your next meal will come from.

I have found that as we take our minds off of our needs and start to worship God, it moves us into another whole area of supernatural provision. As I have studied the Word I have found scripture after scripture that confirms that as we take time and worship God, he promises to supply all of our needs.

Sometimes we think that we can just sit in our homes and wait for the doorbell to ring and a person will come through the door with our miracle blessing in hand.

In my life I have seen miracles occur as I took my eyes off of my problems and instead went into a period of prayer, praise and worship of the Lord.

Our enemy is Satan, not the problem. Satan wants to discourage us. He wants us to give up and say “If there is a God, why isn’t he helping me?” The battle always is in the mind.

If we can stop the chatter of Satan in our minds we then can get miraculous answers to our prayers. We can stop the chatter by quoting the Word the minute a negative thought comes to us. Then when we enter into worship the tormenting thoughts of negativity leave us and God’s glory comes on the scene.

When in need I have found that I need to ask God for wisdom in my situation, and then I need to follow through on what I am perceiving through the Holy Spirit to be direction from God. It may not make any sense in the natural, but if I follow through on the impressions God is giving me, I find myself living in supernatural abundance from the Holy Spirit for my situation.

For instance we always think our help will come from another Christian, we expect Christians to be giving and loving and full of charity. It’s been my experience that God uses people that we least expect, to bring us miracles. I remember one time that I was in desperate need for food for my children and myself. We had eaten nothing but oatmeal for three days. I prayed to God and told Him that we were in desperate shape.  Satan was putting thoughts in my mind such as “Why isn’t anyone from church meeting our needs. They know that my husband left, they know my funds are limited, what kind of people are these?”  The more I gave into those thoughts, in my Christian immaturity, the more discouraged I got.

I had been on the floor with God in prayer, when I stood up and looked out the window and saw a yellow cab pull up to my house. A woman, who was considered by many to be the neighborhood drunk, got out of the cab and started pulling grocery sacks out of the back seat. I yelled at my boys to “Go help, Sue” This woman who lived off of a small pension and social security had gotten her check and taken a cab to the grocery store and bought us food!  God used that experience to show me that He would meet our needs through whomever He chose to do it through. I was not to tell God how I thought the miracle should happen or who I thought it should happen through. My job was to praise and worship God, as He directs us to do.

Looking back I know that it was because I had meet the woman’s needs for companionship and I had prayed for her when she was sick. I took care of God’s child and He took care of me.

In Philippians 4:19 Paul is speaking to those who were helping him. He was telling them, basically, “I have no way to pay you back for your kindness to me but GOD will take care of your needs as you take care of mine.” If we are faithful in meeting the needs of other, even the neighborhood object of gossip, God will take care of our needs.

God will always meet our needs if we have met the needs of  others people. We then rest in His provision. In Psalm 112:4 we read “Light arises in the darkness for the upright, gracious, compassionate and just(who are in right standing with God)

If we are ambassadors for God in our lives, if we show compassion, if we live uprightly and fairly, then we can expect provision from the hands of God when we need it.

If we have spent all our money buying drugs, or alcohol, and then living like the devil we should not be surprised when are needs are not being met. God expects us all to be good stewards of the gifts he has given us.

The key to provision lies in worship of God, as we worship Him we learn of Him and we are inspired to provide for others the same love and compassion we experience from His love for us.

The bible is a blueprint for success. When we follow the blueprint we live in favor and abundance. When we don’t follow the blueprint we don’t reap the same benefits as those who do.

I had to learn about following the directions the hard way. I am one of these people who would buy something that needed to be put together and then think I was smart enough not to read the directions and figure it out myself. As the years went on, I realized that doing it my stubborn way meant I often took twice as long to put something together correctly. I had to do it over and over, until I finally broke down and read the directions. Nowadays I get better results by following the directions first. There is a reason that they include them!

If you are not seeing results from your prayers, ask God for wisdom first and foremost. Then follow the directions in the Word. Go into praise and worship, take your eyes off your problems and expect God to be gracious to you as you have been gracious, giving and compassionate to His people. If you haven’t been good to others, it’s never to late to start. Maybe God ordained this moment for you to see the light about how your actions are stopping the hand of God, in your situation.

When I was a young girl I loved to watch Kathryn Kuhlman in her miracle crusades. She would stand up and with the love of God shining in her eyes say, “I believe in miracles” I too have come to believe in miracles. Yours is on it’s way today.  Whatever your need is today, read Psalm 111:5, commit it to your memory. Whatever the situation is God will provide for you, as you worship and magnify HIM.

Father, we declare today that because we worship you and magnify Your Name before others ,provision and supply will always be in our house. Thank You for supernatural blessings and miracles today. Bring someone on the scene of our problem to answer our need in Your behalf. In Your Name, the Name above all names we pray. Amen and Amen
